Sorry we couldn't find a fix for you, Cindy. I use the Macrium free version on all my computers and it is incredibly fast. I don't need incrementals and differentials. I clone the system onto the same partition on another drive every couple of weeks. It automatically removes the previous entry and is so fast in cloning and hasn't let me down ever. I even cloned an OS off a Sata drive straight onto a SSD drive and worked perfect. Surprised the free version works so faultless.

Hi Cindy. Did you find 2 folders in the registry? Also delete Acronis folder in program Files. I am no expert but if all this fails then I am at a loss.

That's exactly what I am thinking,Rich. Nearly has to be a reg entry causing this issue. I would also run Void Tools "Everything" and delete anything it fimds.

The Computer next to me is running an ASUS Mobo and an aging AMD Phenom 11 x 4 965 Deneb 45nm Technology and a SSD Hard Drive. It runs so smooth and gives no problems whatsoever, and it's not that much slower than this computer running an Intel I7CPU which cost me $399 here. The extra price can't be justified by performance over AMD.

If there was one, Rich you would be bored out of your brain with nothing to keep you on your toes.:big_grin: I would hate computers to work right all the time,as there would be no challenge in fixing them. Man againt machine. I win most of the time.:big_grin:

One ASUS board fail in 7 yrs so can't really complain. I have always liked ASUS. I also have 3 ASUS HDMI Monitors which also are my pick of all the monitors I have bought over the years. Been running now for about 20hrs after the hiccup and all seems normal at the moment.

I got the computer working again. Reset the Bios and gave it a kick into the bargain out of frustration. See how long it goes for now.:grr: PS. 44.1c here at the moment. Dam Hot.

Well the new Rig has died again. Not 2 weeks after the Computer shop replacing the Motherboard. Working fine and switched it off as normal. Just hit the Power button and frozen on Bios black screen. Options dead.This is starting to become a nightmare.

Hi Mike. If the updates have stopped.I would cancel the updates. Reboot the computer look for updates again. I would only bring the updates down in groups. Normal updates say 10-15 at a time. Net frameworks only about 5 at a time as they can be quite large. I have seen this method work before. Wait and see what Cindy thinks.

This wasn't Crucial, Rich. This was the Computer shop who were too lazy to send it back and advised me Crucial would not give me a replacement. I wasn't happy about it. I binned it.

That gave me a laugh. Still beats the alternative. I really don't want to sing Hymns and read the Bible for eternity.:big_grin:

I run one Kingston SSD and had no issues. Never used PNY products so can't comment. I had a Crucial SSD and all the front plastic broke away. I took it back for warranty and they refused. Said I was too aggresive changing the connectors. I said "Pig's Arse"

I like Filehippo as it gives you the option for an earlier version of software. Filehippo has indroduced it's own download manager which I am not keen on. Filehippo and MajorGeeks seem the safest D/L sites at the moment. I haven't tried Guru3d as yet. Must check them out.

What a day I have had. At 2am this morning my new rig died.It stopped like it was shot. Everything dead. Done all the usual checks including temp hooking up another PSU. I took the rig to my computer shop and they rang me some time later that the Asrock Z97 extreme 4 had died. This is about 2-3 weeks old. They wanted to give me a new motherboard. I said I bought the parts on your recommendation, You fix the *&&^%^&&** thing. They did replace the Mobo and picked it up and now working great again. They have seven shops and sold around 400 of these Mobo's and this is only the second that has failed and it had to be me.:angry: As you know, Rich even quality hardware can fail. Just the luck of the draw.

I have never tweaked my SSD Drives. They perform great as they are. I like the Intel SSD's. If it ain't broke don't try to fix it.:)

I found with 64bit Revo is not very informative.Revo seems to have dropped it's bundle with 64Bit. This is the first place I check after any downloads, even custom installs to see if anything has crept into my OS. Even shows latest Microsoft update entries. While it works for me I will keep it. Done everything right so far.

I thought if that's real I am never going in the water again.:yikes:

It finds all the registry entries for you, Rich. Just click on the program and say choose "Safe uninstall" You do nothing more but wait. Then it comes back with a list of registry entries and you click "Remove" done. Much faster and simpler than Revo.

Wise program uninstaller is excellent, Rich and shows every entry. And it's free. That's the part I like.
