  1. That is not where you see the ads Gary, search for something! The column you see on the right are all ads which is why they have little relevance to your search. Also the first two have yellowish orange icon in them. This is a search for Nikon J1 camera note the ads on the right that say "ads" and also the first one says the same thing: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1GTPM_enUS547US547&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=nikon%20j1%20camera&es_th=1
  2. I agree on Google for searches no question it is the best but if I can work with Ad Muncher I would prefer to run Duckduckgo which is very similar to Google in terms of its abilities. And no ads whatsoever with duckduckgo unlike Google that constantly either puts a row on the right of useless leads or the first two which are always ads you have to avoid. You can always switch back easily in Pale Moon anyway if you want to compare as I love the separate built in search bar, that enables that so easily.DuckduckGo is default search engine on Pale Moon which is where I found it though I think N3 was pushing it a while ago.
  3. Firefox has always started slower than the others the first time....that is nothing new however once open it will blow the others away. I really think any of you that have had issues with FF should try Pale Moon. Pete put me on to it over a year ago and I think it has way more stability than FF. The only issue I ever had was reading pdfs and that was "pilot error" so now I am back to it. One thing I love about Chrome I wish I could figure out how to do with FF is Chrome loads downloads to the bottom of the browser as well as whatever folder you like and that saves a step with many tasks.
  4. Oh for goodness sakes talk about feeling stupid.....I just went into Pale Moon Tools, Applications, and set all potential pdf files to Adobe Reader and that solved every pdf issue I had and I cannot believe what those functions were actually set to so I can go back to Pale Moon now. And the answer to Ad Muncher is use "Duck Duck Go" for Search Engine in it and then I don't have the issue with Ad Muncher and searching with so I am thinking of dumping Adblock Plus now.
  5. Aha all my sales were ThinkPads that's why I never saw this.....it's all I ever sell.
  6. I know that Cindy. I go back and forth between Pale Moon and Chrome whenever the issues stack to high I move to Pale Moon which still has only one issue and that is pdf files some of the time. If they would solve that I would stay there because it is a great browser.
  7. With the amount of those I resold last year I have contacted all my clients and none of them have this onboard. I don't understand why.
  8. Wow amazing photographs! Glad you are safe.
  9. Bob your link takes me to the same place and of course I don't have Ad Muncher on this PC though. Oh and I am using Chrome I might add.
  10. Try this url: www.google.com/ads/preferences/html/opt-out.html Opt Out page - Google Finally got one to post here and they are double click ads and I have even used the opt out for double click so it doesn't matter.
  11. Yes it has a double click in the url and I used to have a block for all double click cookies I installed on everything and have been looking for that to install on this system.
  12. I have tried 3 times it will not post here....

  15. Funny....I know there are no data caps here and obviously no such law.
  16. Damn it this is the monitor but I don't see the code that inevitably takes it to $99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009316
  17. Probably have less trouble because lets face it everything on the internet is really set for IE, its the standard. The other browsers just have so many great addons and while they exist in IE, there is something annoying about every one. I.E. I use Last Pass and I love it but in IE it has to run in startup or it won't work but not so in FF or Chrome. Same is true of mouse gestures. I love mouse gestures but there are very few programs available for IE in comparison and they mostly also require being in startup.
  18. No Dougie I have owned and used Ad Muncher for almost 15 years now and was a big proponent when it was a paid program and still have 2 licenses. I gave it up more than 2 years ago due to the issue and just added it back for Paltalk but leave it disabled except when we are on Paltalk. The owner was an online buddy and probably still is a KH member for years. Same thing happens today as when I stopped using it. I just tried a bunch of Newegg urls and no issue. The other day I could not go anywhere on Newegg now I can. I worked with Jeff when it first started happening and he developed some updates for me but still 50% of my searches would be blank until I disabled it. I think their inability to handle the problem is why they eventually went "open source" because the program sold for as high as $178 lifetime version before that with no issue until this started happening. As far as I know Dan still uses it, he was the one who introduced it to me 15 years ago. I think Cindy has a bunch of licenses also, we are really familiar with this product. It almost has to be a conflict with some other program and I am starting to think Mbam frankly but when I tried to nail it down before I never did manage to isolate the issue. It has to be something that also has the ability to block sites that interferes with it but I didn't think that years ago when I tried to isolate it.

  20. The reason I gave it up Dougie and I was a big proponent for years is that about 1/2 my searches were blocked and it just became too time consuming to constantly disable the program to search for anything. I understand there is a toolbar now where you can disable it for just that site but I would advise against ever running any kind of toolbar because they have to hang in front of the browser and therefore are not protectable.
  21. I actually have the one you are describing as well N3. My first acquisitions started when I thought I had lost my main one so I bought 2 more and then found the original. The long pen like one I had took 3 special batteries that were a fortune because they were really small, but they lasted almost a year with constant use whereas these alkaline batteries, and most of them I have take 1 AA battery I get about a month out of. I would have gotten a battery charger and lithium batteries except the AA are so cheap theses days. I think I just bought 48 of them for $14.99, some crazy brand (AC Delco) but they last as long as the Dura Cell batteries do.
