    Ok, thanks but I am still getting different views on why my win8 Pro disc did not work, I have 2 techs telling me I need the specific version of win8 which was installed on that unit and 2 other techs tell me it makes no difference?

    I am trying to install win7 on this unit but it's not allowing it, if I were to change the HDD would that work?

    I am trying to install a copy of win8 Pro but since this unit does not come with a DVD drive, only boot option I am seeing in the Bios is the HDD, I tried connecting a USB DVD but can't get that option to show in the boot order in the bios?

    Getting an error code 0x0000001 at startup. It will not go into Safe mode [F8] just keeps looping over and over, this unit runs windows 8. Also no sticker with the product key so I can't reload the OS, help? I was able to get the recovery process by Pressing f9 at the right time but after the recovery was done, it back to the same looping process, I am guessing my only hope now is to do an OS install? If so, how can I tell which version of windows 8.1 was originally installed on this unit and also since there isn't a product key anywhere on this unit, how will I license it when it goes to the net?

    I am suspecting the PSU is bad and will test tomorrow with a spare good one, meantime, there quite a few roaches in this unit, with the unit powered off, can I use spray like Clorox cleaner wherever I see them on the mobo?

    When I press the power button I the processor and exhaust fans run for a second, the PSU fan runs for a split second then nothing? I reseated the 2 ram sticks, same deal, help?

    Hey guys, this used POS touchscreen pc [no name brand] running XP Pro SP2 which was working fine but after uninstalling some programs trying to clean up the pc, now when I startup the pc, I can navigate through windows fine but touching anywhere on the screen doesn't work, I have no knowledge of touchscreens so can anyone tell me how I can get this working again please?

    Understood but in this case with the Bios and boot order not recognizing either the DVD or USB, shouldn't this suggest a board problem and not a HDD problem?

    I sent it to my friend's store yesterday but since the net is working perfect on that unit, I can't believe it's the HDD at fault? I suspect it's the board. Anyway, can anyone tell me why a BSOD shows more than one error please? Technical information: STOP: 0x0000009F [0x00000003, 0x8121B3A0, 0x81329F18, 0x835AA428] Does that immediately tell you that there is more than one problem?

    but will 32bit drivers install on a 64bit OS?

    BTW guys, please help me clear this up? A guy on the Acer forum says it's ok to use the 64bit drivers for a 32bit windows, would this be safe or should I only use 32 bit drivers for 32bit OS and 64bit drivers for 64bit OS?

    I see now why I could not find the 32 bit drivers on the Acer site, I see that only 64 bit drivers are available for this on there? http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers/3769;-;Aspire%207560 Anyway, I will easily reload win7 and choose the 64-bit version this time so I can use those 64bit drivers.

    Main reasons for me to get only a touchscreen monitor is simply because I already have a couple of pc's here so no need to shell out more for a most likely less powerful pc and I need to have the touchscreen jukebox both wallmounted and portable so I can move it around whenever I need to, this way I can lease the pc itself connected to my music rig and will only need to move the touchscreen around via a long VGA cable.

    I had tried that but the Format option was shaded. I also do not have the option to delete the partition. Right now I am going to try Parted Magic to delete that partition.

    I can't get to windows because the linux OS is password protected so anything I need to do has to be done from the win7 disk.

    Someone installed a linux OS on this guy's Acer Aspire laptop, he wants me to load win7 but when I get the install windows screen, it is showing "Windows cannot be installed to this hard Disk space, Windows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS. I searched the net but can't find instructions on how to do this from the win7 disk?

    I am at my wits end with this, tell me this please, since a recovery did not solve this laptop's problem, if I could do a network boot to reload the OS, would a fresh OS install work better than the Recovery?

    "ELO" is a commercial touchscreen mainly used for POS systems, it has the rep of being robust, reliable and durable.
