People who use OS X decided to be Mac users. They didn't (with a few
very rare exceptions) decide to be Unix users and then try to figure
out what Unix to use, eventually settling on OS X. So, the problem
described above is not at all relevant to OS X.

Wrong. I want the best that isn't offered by Big Business, which is
increasingly catering to other Big Business and Big Government, and not
to my needs and desires for efficiency, privacy and security.

Air is not free...there is a cost in energy expenditure to my body.
I have to feed my body with fuel from a grocery store to continue breathing.

I do know what I am talking about.
Linux wasn't exactly free for me, it was a waste of valuable time.

And Vista is almost free.
I've used it everyday for 15 months.
That now averages $.36 a day.
Money well spent, I'd say.

That free stuff waste time...which is far more valuable than a couple
hundred bucks.

It's been patched long ago but you are still harping on it like it's
still a vulnerability. You get ONE vulnerability in the two years I've
had Ubuntu and you act like it's a big deal, which, of course, it isn't.

Now, about the WGA/WPA/DRM trip in Vista? Care to address that?

I use XP every day. Oops. Vista, OTOH, sucks, so I don't use it. I don't
consider software or software companies a "cause" or "religion". The
only thing I hate is hatred. I like Ubuntu for many reasons but as a
cause or religion, you've gotta be kidding it's only an operating
system. XP is good for some things. Ubuntu is good for other things. I
have one computer to my left with Windows and another to my right with
Ubuntu. It's called having the best of both worlds. Why the likes of
you, Frank and Bill Yawnair have a hissy fit about it is your problem.
