Does Microsoft sell or offer a package to install that will allow my vista media center to play BluRay Disc? I have installed a bluray player internal drive, and it works fine, but it will not play bluray disc in windows media center. It does work if I install a bluray player program like Power DVD, but I would like to stay with Microsoft products if possible. Does Microsoft offer any thing to make blurays play in the media center??? View this thread

When I click on my Icon &quotWindows Live Mail&quot to get into my regular email account, a pop up box comes up asking for my username and password. The one I use for my hotmail account. My Task: I have backed up all the productivity software programs from a windows 7 home premium 64bit PC (which is being retired) onto an external hard drive. I want to use many of these programs on a new PC running windows 7 professional 64bit OS. I believe that I may have several ways of accomplishing this task and am seeking your advice on the following techniques. 1. I could remove the hard drive from the older PC and use it as a second hard drive in the new PC. If I do that should I leave the OS on the drive? 2. Can I just restore my backup to the new PC? 3. Although I have the original program CDs, license restrictions limit the number of times some programs can be installed and activated. I have addressed such licensining questions to several software manufacturers of my software including Nuance (for PaperPort, Omnipage, etc.) and am awaiting responses. 4. I would also consider creating a dual boot system but I believe that the windows 7 home premium OS would need to be the default OS. That change would probably void my product warranty with HP. 5. I am using windows 7 64-bit. The recent updates installed Explorer 10. My problem is that since the update on opening explorer I appear to have two favorites bars. The second bar soon disappears under the first bar. If I click on ‘save as’ to save a pdf to my computer both favorites bars appear. This is not causing me bit problems but I would like to sort the problem out and I would be grateful for any input. Cheers View this thread

Windows update KB2323324 is installed and I cannot find it to uninstall it as it is not listed to uninstall. It is known to cause errors and since installing my pc is booting up slowly and I have to manually open some applications. Where can i find it to uninstall ? I think I was infected bcos I downloaded some freeware.. I tried uninstalling all the programs related to it in control panel and changed the settings in Google Chrome but everytime I open Chrome, the Delta Search page will come up (http://www1.delta-search.com/?affID=121562&ampbabsrc=HP_ss&ampmntrId=42F21216D8C73F4A) Btw I am using Windows 8 and have no idea how to navigate through it smoothly. Everything is soooo different!! Can someone please help me out?? Do I need to remove the Delta search from my registry? How? Hi, I am using Windows 8 on my computer at University, where Internet works through a proxy server. I can access all websites through different browsers, but I can't update Windows. When I click on Check for updates, sometimes it hangs up for a minute or two, and then starts checking. Anyway, every time it ends up with the Error 8024402F. Also, I am having problems with updating Windows Apps (like Mail, Weather, etc...). I can update Windows and Apps without any problem through an Internet USB stick, which works without proxy settings. Please let me know if it is possible to fix this issue. Thanks! View this thread
