I keep getting a prompt to shutdown my computer to install the same 4 updates that have been sucessfully installed 15 times. Running Vista. Updates are:KB2393802 KB 2676562 KB2813170 Iexplorer9 and Bing Desktop. View this thread

I'm having a problem getting windows updates. It keeps saying the website has encountered a problem. Does it make a difference that I have Mozilla Firefox? I have PC MightyMax 2013 that helped with 1 problem or more , but they can't seem to help on this. It keeps saying errors in windows registry and custom control. View this thread

I have Windows 7. After a recent update, I can't get into my word documents. I am told the Microsoft Word Starter 2010 is incompatible and to go to the control panel to fix. Where did 2010 come from? How do I fix this? View this thread

Win XP SP3 on this computer. Have same on another computer which works to get updates. Have issue going to Express Update or custom and get message of "the website has encountered an unknown problem then dumps me out. Looked up reasons in FAQ but none apply here. Hi there,I can't update Windows Vista.I recently had to re-install and installed all updates up to and beyond SP1 and SP2 over the course of a few days. I had to manually download and install the Service Packs from the Microsoft website because Update didn't seem to want to install them.Anyway, that was last week and now I can't get updates and my update history is blank. I'm really hoping that I don't have to start from scratch here.The last major things to have been installed were software bits to allow me to use a Seagate 2tb internal second drive.I've recently tried all the advice on this page, to no avail. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad U410 Ultrabook with Windows 7 64 bit installed. I bought the computer in October of last year and ever since then every time I update it fails. I always get the error message "failure configuring windows updates, reverting changes". The latest failed updates were (KB2739159) (KB2656356) (KB2789645) (KB2769369) (KB2756921) (KB2620704) There were others too. We have multiple users, including myself with Office 2013 Home and Business. In addition, I have Visio Pro 2013. We are trialing Office 365 E3 right now, wanting to demo the Lync features especially. When I went to install Office 365 ProPlus from the My Apps page, the ClickToRun app started and then eventually after streaming for about 2 hours simply froze. Rebooting didn't help and I was forced to Uninstall all Office 2013 apps using the following KB article's "fix it": http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501#Method1 My question is: Is there a proper rollout for getting users that already have Office 2013 (either the full suite or individual apps like Visio) upgraded/migrated to Office 2013 ProPlus with the E3 plan of Office 365? Is it going to require uninstalling existing Office 2013 suites/apps on their PCs before running the installer on the Office 365 site? Having problem installing updates, security and windows Def., changed option to "download and I would install" That does not work either. My firewalls are off, did not disable win Def though. Where are tthe downloads held for installation at my option? I'm beginning to think there is a problem with Win 7 Pro. The updates still will not install. I had this problem before, don't know I fixed or it went away. I have an earlier post about the updates. My win 7 ultimate machine did install it. I tried to install Windows 7 SP1 but it keeps failling with the error code 800B0100. I tried Microsoft fixit, clean boot and the standalone update. I had changed my printer (twice) in the last two days because I cannot get it to set as a default printer. I thought it was a fault with the printer originally so I bought another and am experiencing the same problem. When I try to set it as a default printer I get the message. ' Operation could not be completed error 0X00000709. Other messages I get when I try to solve the problem are 'Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavailable.'I have tried setting it as default through notepad but that does not work and inOutlook when I hover over the printer button it say my old printer ( which I have removed and all software) HP Officejet 63000 is the default. Using Windows 7 Starter. Windows Updates KB2726535 and KB 2790113 have failed to install for several days. I consistently get Error Code 80070570. I have run Windows Update Troubleshooter and FixIt (several times), and both show resolved errors, but the two updates continue to fail to install. I wrote my friend an email, then went into my photo gallery and printed off 3 photos to include in the email. Although the 3 photos went horizontally across the top of the email, I then sent it to her. When I looked at the email that I'd sent her, the photos were from top to bottom, through most of my email wording, quite cutting off most of the wording. What's to do. Our clients are currently connected to a domain on an inhouse server (Windows SBS), primarily to access common data. Each client has an administrative account and a user account. We are moving the data to Sharepoint online in Office 365 and the inhouse server will be discontinued. Therefore, we want to change each client so that it does not connect to the domain but to a workgroup. I note that, using the administrative account, I can change the the network from domain to workgroup but then I can't connect to the user account on the workgroup.
