They have quite a few.

I guess, like you, they didn't do their research.

But you have to put up with Vista.

My all in one HP cost 70 euros, a bit over $100. Just the printer would
cost 59 euros, under $100, and at a store that has over 200 stores
nationwide. Big Box enough for you?

My all in one was much harder to install on XP than Ubuntu. I haven't
tried it with Vista. Are you saying that Vista has built in software or
do you have to install HP software for the printer and scanner? If the
latter, Ubuntu is MUCH easier to install a printer than Vista. Period.

Did your mama (if you even know who she was!) raise you to be the vile,
lying POS excuse for a human being you are?

For your statement to be true, vista would have to be harder to install
printers for more than 50% of all printers that it supports, which is
not the case.

Your statement is "reaching" at best, and dishonest, and BS to be sure.

Again, if you had said that SOME printers install easier than under
Vista I would have agreed with you and not posted anything, but you
chose the dishonest path and can't seem to admit you made a mistake.

Answer the question, don't dodge it with a supercilious insult.

>

Plugging it into the USB port and it just works vs. installing software,
rebooting and then, maybe, it will work are two different things with
the former being easier than the latter.

Again, sigh, when you install a printer with Vista, you do need to
install the printer/scanner software that comes on the CD that comes
with the printer or not? Of course you do, which is why the CD that came
with my new HP says "Windows 2000, XP and Vista". The CD does NOT say
"Ubuntu" because it isn't necessary as the CD is not needed with Ubuntu.
You're saying that there are printers that don't come with software to
install and Vista has the software by default or what beside hurling
unfounded insults a la Frank?

Accept that your statement is not 100% true in all cases, that's the
contention here.

Funny, I was able to plug in my printers and scanner and it worked
without me having to do anything, not open a single CD, and it just
worked.

And you know this to be true with EVERY printer/scanner on the market,
that you must install non-provided software in order to use EVERY
printer/scanner on the market? If not, then you're telling lies again.

You have to be kidding, Vista INCLUDES printer drivers and worked fine
with my scanner, even the USB scanner, but Ubuntu didn't work with it,
at least not on 7.10, not tried it on the latest version yet.

Actually more than pointing. Try setting them up in corporate environments,
etc. So MY personal experience in actually setting up multiple
configurations shows different.
