Of course it is. Charge $200USD for it and then see how many takers
there are, ok?

That's the really delusional part of a supposedly intelligent person I
like to see come out (yeah, right).
Can you say "fringe element" thinking?
Try it...you won't choke on the truth.

Debating a drunk! That isn't fair is it? Isn't that like punching a drunk?

I on the other hand find it very telling. Most who know the law
generally have had more than just a "brush" with the law.
That he's an ex-patriot, living abroad, not using his real name is very
suspicious in my book.

You can have your day in court and they will have to prove, without a
shadow of a doubt, that you didn't, indeed, have your license with you.
You'd probably lose but you are still assumed to be innocent until it is
proven that your are guilty or not guilty. This is true for all cases
where someone is charged with a crime. The onus for proving whether a
crime has been committed is on the shoulders of the prosecution, not the
defense.

I think IP should be protected but if I buy a book -- a better
comparison -- I can sell it to anyone I want because the *book* is *my*
property and I don't have to pay *any* fees to the owner of the IP.

When the cassette tape came out, the music industry screamed to high
heaven that people would copy cassettes, record off the radio, etc. and
people did. For some strange reason, however, the music industry didn't
go out of business like they told the world they would. When the CD came
out they tried it again with root kits, anti copy crap and realized that
the Scrooge public image they were getting wasn't going over too well in
the young market they were hoping to sell downloads or CDs to so, one by
one, they are dropping DRM. My grandmother would sum up what the big
software companies are doing as "they have gotten way too big for their
britches".

1. There are millions of ex-pats living abroad.

2. Many people do not use their real name on Usenet. For all we know,
your real name is Sen. Larry Craig and you're posting from a Mens'
Restroom stall in LAX, using WiFi.

3. How do you know my name isn't really "Alias"?

Sorry....wrong....perhaps you should actually do a little reading on Pavol
and his experiments. Your replies are mirrors of the results from his
research.

True, but not the right course of action. MS should have to prove it in
a court of law, not the paying customer having to bend over and take it
from MS everytime the buggy DRM tries to check and see if your OS
validates, or has a 'genuine' check.
