Snipping the BS you posted was warranted, the only part of your post,
from what you said, that was worth reading was the part I left of your
post - you claimed you are an idiot and I agree.

At police check points, you have to produce a valid drivers license.
Do you scream at the cop.."How dare you accuse me of being a criminal!" ?
Do you scream at the waitress.."How dare you accuse me of under aged
drinking!" ?
Linux has no need for license agreements...Its free.
Linux must be horrible software...its users feel inclined to sway opinion by
bashing Microsoft.
Does Linux do anything useful ? ... or is it just "not Windows" ?

You're wrong and it's spelled T-H-I-E-F. Also, you don't speak for
*anyone* in the world but yourself.

> Stop using it if it bothers you so much.

Oh, so now you're trying to say it's my fault that MS makes paying
customers prove, over and over and over again that they paid for their
copy of Windows and didn't S-T-E-A-L it. Lame, lame, lame, Leythos.

What do you think that MS is trying to protect its intellectual property
from? Being stolen and used without permission or payment per chance?

I don't have a drivers license, valid or invalid and, even if I did, the
cop can't come into my private home and take a look see without properly
identifying himself and providing a search warrant. A better example
would be me walking out of a store with a new lap top and the security
cop asking to see the receipt. If I show him the receipt and he then
told me I had to take three "genuine" tests, I would, well, get testy
and so would you.

Only if he or she accused me of being a criminal.

I *wish* a waitress would accuse me of that.

I seek to make the Net safer without Windows boxes spreading crap all
over it.

Course, you are comparing breaching and EULA, a civil offense, with
breaking the law, a criminal offense but I understand how desperate you
are because you're not the only fanboy flailing around trying to defend
Redmond and their unconscionable practices but I guess misery loves company.

Check out www.ubuntu.com and find out for yourself. I've tried Windows
and I've tried Ubuntu. You've only tried Windows if you have to ask such
a stupid question.

LOL
you don't drive..hehe
That's why you prefer Linux...its free
The example was that at the check point, they check drivers
licenses...thereby accusing innocent drivers of criminal activity.
If you drove, you would have got it.

No, sitting in a car is the most dangerous place you can be, even more
dangerous than Iraq. I've driven more miles than you can even imagine
but now that I live in a country where cars aren't really necessary, I
don't own one and lose the benefit of paying for repairs, insurance,
gas, oil, etc. No need to tear my hair out because I can't find a
parking place, etc.

And if you show your valid license and he demands that you prove it's
*genuine* over and over again by coming into your home without
permission, what would you think?

Lets call a liar a liar, ok? In this case it's you who are lying,
fabricating the lie and then trying to proliferate the lie. No where and
at no time have I been called a "thief or a pirate or been accused of
stealing MS software simply by using it and complying with the EULA (the
terms of usage)". Nor is the term "thief, pirate, or stealing" explicit
in the EULA or anywhere else for that matter. Nor are those terms even
implied anywhere concerning any MS software usage.
That you imply that those terms are used in any manner by MS seems to
point to the fact that you possibly have something to hide or you
yourself are hiding from something or someone and have a guilt complex
about such things.
We know by your postings, that you're a "fringe" type of person
espousing fringe beliefs (or non-beliefs) and this "thief, pirate,
stealing" attitude goes right well with the rest of your fringe type of
life.
Your mistake, is trying to push your fringe beliefs onto others who
don't feel or think that way and then you have the audacity to insult
them with your nefarious labels when they don't feel or believe the same
as you!
You're wrong and need to accept that fact. If you feel like a thief, or
a pirate or that you're being accused of stealing, then don't use the
damn software, but stop trying to pass off your fringe beliefs on the
rest of us.
Cause we don't believe them or you!
Frank

Re: Ping Alias ... Don't Feel Left Out - You Too Can Have The "Genuine Advantage"

But your comparison is Linux...and it doesn't care if its pirated...its
Free.
If the cop entered my house to check my drivers license, I would own the
town I'm in :)
Microsoft doesn't enter my house with or without my permission.
But they are free to update my software...I read the EULA.
I am not paranoid, nor do I believe getting Windows Updates violates my
privacy.
If Microsoft wants to spy on me...they will quickly find me dull, and move
on.
