Nah, it's due to an increase in thieves not being able to steal Vista.

"[SEATTLE] Microsoft Corp signaled confidence to a rattled stock market by
raising its full-year profit outlook above Wall Street targets and reporting
a 79 percent rise in quarterly profit on Thursday.
"The results and raised forecasts from the world's largest software maker
come on the heels of disappointing outlooks from tech bellwethers Intel Corp
and Apple Inc, which sent shivers through a U.S. stock market that shed
about 10 percent to start the year, before bouncing.

"Microsoft reported bumper quarterly sales of its Windows Vista operating
system and Office software and said anti-piracy efforts were improving
results at an above-average rate."

I have personally seen a cracked copy of Vista. Oops. The reason it's
not being pirated much is because NO ONE WANTS IT except for brand loyal
MS fanboys like you and Frank who think it's some kind of status symbol
to have Vista.

Alias

It does, no question about it. Vista beats every OS to have existed to date,
however, I understand you are probably talking about speed and easiness to
use. There are other advantages too which will become more apparent over
time because Vista's will have fewer problems in the long run with malware
and interoperability.

You've got it:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1

Not for the idiot alias but for other decent readers:

It is a comically bizarre far-left website titled "#1 bug in Ubutnu." It
looks like a user group, or a forum. Guess what #1 "bug" is? You will never
come up with the answer. #1 bug in Ubuntu is MS!!!!! Yes, "commercial
software" holding back free source!!!!! If it were not for MS and those
commercial software makers then everyone would have jumped over to Ubuntu.

Some of those bizarre posts may be tongue in cheek but some are sincere
leftwing cries of wounded birds. Their supporters across the land
volunteered to do the footwork. It is a project that captured their
imagination. They walk into a software store and there is no Ubuntu!!!!! One
of the fellows tried to insert a disk with Ubuntu into a computer at the
store to see how it would take it and a major capitalist crime was
committed: he was asked to leave the store.

The whole protocol of people buying computers with Ubuntu and getting rid of
the software is documented by posts from Poland, Romania and other places.
Apparently some of the posters overseas were confused and took the whole
witchcraft seriously and posted their honest analysis.

Read it. It is very long but enjoyable. Wash your hands afterwards.

Nobody ever stopped offering XP at DELL.

What they did was to make Vista the OS they RECOMMEND.

It is still there, nothing has changed. Vista Business was still highlighted
in green when I ordered my new T7400 at the end of the year. However, I had
to move my combo box selection to get it. The default was set to XP Pro. I
could be by omission though, you never know.

You spread malicious misinformation around here on purpose or by your sheer
idiocy, who knows.

BTW, I just went to a DELL site and tried to price an inexpensive laptop,
Inspiron in the lower range.

You cannot even get an XP on it let alone Ubuntu. There were 3 choices:
Vista Home basic, Vista Home Premium and I think Ultimate. No
XPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.

Hey - If no one wants Vista, why is Microsoft making Billions on the sale of
Vista? Oh yea, I forgot. You use Ubuntu. Your reasoning is a bit OFF.

hehehe...you are jealous aren't you! Well, keep scamming those little
old ladies by selling them free software and just maybe you might end up
with enough euros to purchase a legal copy of Vista.

They are making billions because people are buying a computer with Vista
preinstalled and then they pay MS AGAIN for XP which they install after
wiping the hard drive of the Vista Virus, of course. That's one reason.
The other reason is that fools like you and Frank think Vista is a
status symbol and "cool".

Again, how many times does someone have to tell you something before it
registers in your thick skull? I have Vista sitting on a shelf gathering
dust. I have told you this at least a hundred times yet it still doesn't
register.

Again, how many times does EVERYONE have to tell you something before it
registers in your thick skull? People (many people) tell you to stop
posting about Ubuntu but you continue. You must be sitting there with
nothing else to do. What about those 3 companies? I guess that keeps you
so busy you can post all day long.

Yea you run 3 companies and I can leap 200 feet into the air!
