No.. they are doing it to increase their profit margins.
They will drop the previous one once they have used up the stocks.
Anyone can see that a new model will have to be launched every three months
or so as they don't manufacture longer than that in the consumer market.

Why doesn't windows ping support pinging a broadcast address?
Today I needed to enumerate the hosts on a subnet and I had to boot
Linux to get what should have been a simple task done.
