Hey Cindy, is this a new site? I had wanted to post for help on extreme a few days ago but thought something was wrong when it kept redirecting me to this site. Also, any idea what happens if users upgrade for free but at the end of one year deiced that they don;t wish to keep win10?

Dell Inspiron E1505. The guy is having some trouble with the onboard KB so he attached an external but sometimes some keys on the internal are working without him pressing them so he's looking for a way to disable it without having to open the laptop. I tried having him disable the PS2 KB in the device manager but when he restarted it the kb self installed again, any idea please since I can't find anything on the net?

I tried Recuva but all image files shows as "unrecoverable", this I think says it all taken from the file located in the images folder: All your documents, photos, databases and other important files have been encrypted with strongest encryption RSA-2048 key, generated for this computer. Private decryption key is stored on a secret Internet server and nobody can decrypt your files until you pay and obtain the private key. Does that mean if the owner follows those instructions and pays to get her images back that it will work? She won't do this so I am thinking best I run the win7 recovery so no chances of this problem on her HDD "if there is no way to recover the files", what do you think?

After installing net framework 4, I am getting a new error prompt "cli.exe- Net framework initialization error- Unable to find a version of the runtime to run the application"

Thanks, I normally recommend belkin at around $16 but yours does seem better. DVD does not show picture perfect with VLC, trying to update the video driver to see if that will help

I got the sound back, now the wireless and dvd needs to work, when I try to run a DVD via WMP I am getting "a compatible dvd decoder is not installed on your computer", normally I would install VLC or MPC but is there a dcoder which will allow WMP to work?

The ethernet controller driver works [thanks] but the wireless is difficult to configure, I am trying to run updates now to see if it will help with everything.
