Good Morning Friends. These last few days I'm going into production, I ran into a problem after restoring a backup of my siteCollection, I had not been in previous versions of SharePoint It turns out that after restoring the backup of my production siteCollection (SharePoint 2013 - Windows Server 2008r2 and 2008r2 SqlServer), I open the browser the url digit of the site, and it turns out the home page loads and is blank, put the url another page within the same site and loading and stays in the blank, and so no page loading site is blank, I was researching and maybe I can be something of minimal download strategy (minimum discharge strategy), to redirect and download the pages as needed and look like they stick or something,,, to restart the service and the distributed cache service AppFabric caching, thinking it was some cache and nothing, I also thought it was something sitecollection permissions but nothing, and so far and could not solve the issue, my siteCollection has deploye webpart which advance the farm level without any problem. Haber if anyone ever look past this and can give some suggestion. Blank page. I do not load a single page of my site. I have an enclosed box truck in which I want to set up a wireless network between my laptop and a wireless printer. My laptop has internet connectivity via an aircard. Hi I just brought an Asus s200e and it came with Windows 8.Im having problems running Windows update on it I ran a WIndows update tool and these are the results Error 80070002 Windows UPdate components must be repaired Problem with Background Transfer Service .Straight out of the box I uninstalled McAfee Internet Security oping for Windows Defender.Whenever I run Windows update its stuck at 0% I tried numerous solutions I tried runnning Fixit but it didnt support Windows 8.I ran WindowsUpdateDiagnostic that semi fixed it.As in it was able to install updates after that but as soon as i restarted there were more updates to be installed and once again the updates were stuck at 0%.I also tried stopping the Windows Update Service and deleting C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution folder.There was a solution saying to" right click on command prompt in the list, run as administrator, then type: net stop “windows update” I tried doing this on Windows 8 and it came with a cmd saying the Syntax of this command is NET STOPI tried a couple of other commands i saw in other peoples solutions but it did not work in Windows 8 On top of that I restored my laptop to factory settings removing all files and restoring default windows files Numerous times and this also did not work. Sorry about the long question Ive tried all the solutions I could find but havent been successful in getting the updates to download I hope someone knowlegdable could assist me in fixing this otherwise since my laptop is new i should ask to exchange it ? I am finding that the Outlook 2013 People Pane does not work as expected. The people pane does not display any emails, meetings, attachments from the corporate users accounts. If an external sender has history and attachments etc. , the pane works correctly. After spending some time on it, I discovered that only conversations history from lync were being indexed and displayed from corporate users. I created a custom search folder, explicitly looking for attachments and emails from one user. browsed to an email from that user and only returned conversations related. although Rakeshs-MSFT had this problem identified Monday, October 01, 2012 6:41 PM no follow-up resolutions were posted. Hi, For a couple of weeks now I have been prompted to install the updates above. Each time they are approved for installation they fail and Windows Update quotes error code 0800736b3. Prior to coming on this forum I have scoured the internet and undertaking many tasks including: Downloading the Windows Update Fix-It which states that Windows Update Components must be repaired. I approve the repair but if the tool is run again even after a reboot, it reports the same problem. I have run the System update readiness toolkit and this has reported no corruptions. I have run the system file checker - again with no issues found. I am tearing my hair out here as I simply cannot install these updates. Can anyone shed any light on exactly what this error code means or how I can resolve this. Regards, Alan. View this thread

I have spoken to four people at Microsoft who have told me the same thing. To remove Windows Mail, I have to uncheck all the boxes on Windows SideShow that pertain to Windows Mail.This suggestion is not possible. On my SideShow gadget list, there are three graphics and then names for each: Outlook 2007, Media Player, and Windows Mail. None of these graphics can be altered. I tried double-clicking and clicking with both right and left mouse buttons. There are no boxes anywhere for me to click in order to disengage Windows Mail.I have no use for this device and it is a nuisance. The message "Windows Mail can compact the message store" appears almost every day.Can anyone help me get rid of "Windows Mail?" Thanks! View this thread

I have a PC and 2 laptops linked together in a home group. Each unit is linked to my emails accounts. But if I read an email on my PC and then delete the email why is it it still shows in the inbox of either laptop? For example, at 5 pm I read and deleted 5 emails using my laptop. Later that night I go n my PC and check the email account and those 5 emails are still shown, so I have to delete them again off that computer and then later dlete the same emails on the third unit. Seems like a wast of time and inefficient. Can I not set up my Homegroup so that if someone reads, answers or deletes an email on one computer, the change is shown on the the other computers? I have32-bit OS-- Window 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1. Problem 1.: Windows Update has stopped working,. despite successful "fixings" by the PC system itself. Have installed &amp tried update problem fixing tool, but no effect. I tried to upgrade through running Windos 7 disc. But upgrade process stops with message that 11 GB plus space is required I have 4 GB space in Disk C. Problem 2: Despite uninstalling many programs and shifting large amounts of documents/pictures etc. to Discs D &amp E, there is no increase in free space in Disc C to enable Windows Upgrade. have windows 7 and 64 bit, "HP Pavillion entertainment PC" laptop. memory is full on C and D drives. I have removed all pictures, important documents and programs (that I installed) and memory is still full. .I have backed up all important items to a removable hard drive.I have Kaspersky Pure virus protector and it has not found any virus or Malware eating up memory, windows defender has not found anything,At this point I would like to "reformat or reinstall factory settings" but when I go to Advanced recovery methods in Recovery, it will not open. I think a recent Win 7 updates has created problems. I keep receiving a message that my copy of Win 7 is not genuine, which is not the case. And when I try to look at the update history, Windows Update shows a blank page. And when I ask to search for updates, I get the message: Unable to search for updates because the service is not operational.I applied the Windows Update repair tool: no change.Thanks for any help. This is more of a statement than a question, but it might help those of us who will continue to use XP as a Guest O/S after next mid-April. And maybe someone will have some advice. Recently, I had to reinstall Win 7. Despite its saving most Program files, I had to reinstall VMWare from my external HD list [i put all my created and downloaded files there] of programs and the XP HE from its disk. Something I never had thought of up till now, with loads of Updates getting jammed in the pipeline and taking days to install, was that I should have backed up XP, using the ntbackup that can be installed from the XP CD. This is now crucial, as there won't be any Support for XP soon enough. I only need XP for running old, Win 7-incompatible programs that I'm used to and can't afford to update. View this thread

It is completely borked... Apple @me Accounts end up with folders created (This Computer Only) for no reason - all the folders that it creates for certain functions (Deleted Items/Sent Item/Junk Email) already exist in the Apple @me Account Folder Structure...they may be named differently but that should not matter - there is ZERO reason to create these rubbish folders... Syncing only works half the time...for example...delete an EMail from the Inbox...not in Outlook - however it remains in the IMAP folder on every other device... Change your Subscribed Folders...not reflected in the list of folders showing under the @me Account... This is particularly pathetic as Outlook 2010 had no such issues! One has to wonder what complete and utter idiot decided to completely rewrite IMAP handling in Outlook and then failed to even do a half decent job of it...its not like Apple @me Accounts are unheard of... Can someone who actually knows how to write code and test properly please fix this so I can actually use the product I paid good money for! And fire the idiot who did such a piss poor job...and then fire the moron who hired the idiot...as well as the incompetent fools who signed off on such rubbish! And then sack the entire testing team...who clearly havent a clue as to how to write a test case! View this thread

I updated my Windows XP from Internet Explorer. When finished installing, the update window did not automatically close itself. It only says "Update 20 of 20 (done)" and the only option is to close by "X" or "Cancel" on the bottom right corner of the window. I clicked "X" but nothing happened so I tried "Cancel" but it only says cancelling and because I tired of waiting, I forcefully close the Internet Explorer through Task Manager.How can I fix this?Thank you. I am running Windows vista home premium.........have a Dell Inspiron 531 with a 2.30 gig AMD athlon 64x2 dual core processor. The motherboard is limited to 4 gigs of ram. When cleaning my computer, I installed 2 extra gigs of ram, (went from 2 to 4). It picked up the ram, and runs like a new computer. My question is, it is only showing 3.51 gigs as recognizable, so I lost a half of gig somewhere. I am NOT a computer expert by any means, but can accomplish certain things. Is there an easy way to get the motherboard to recognize the other half a gig of ram, or should I just leave well enough alone. I do not feel very comfortable messing with BIOS, or Drivers.
