I have looked ever where for a fix, and I've got nothing. So, I tried to update windows 7 with sp1. Well now I get a fatal error a quarter of the way through the update after reboot. It is always error c0190003 and it is always something to do with ssText3d. I just need a way to cancel the update so I can boot back into windows 7 pre update. I have tried to boot in safe mode, but it freezes. I've tried last know configuration, also just goes back to trying to update. I also tried this dism fix, but i always get an error. Worst case is a fix I found that requires deleting lines of code from the pending.xml. any takers? I'm stumped. View this thread

Hi, Recently I broke my laptop to where it is beyond repair. However I manage to salvage the hdd and use it as external storage. Previously I got the Windows 7 from the MSDNAA programme my uni offer and installed it in the broken laptop. But now I would like to get a new laptop and install the Windows 7 on the new one. I understand that an OEM version of Windows can only be install in one computer only and can't be transfer to another one. The questions are: 1. I'm not sure about the version of my Windows and I can't check from the Properties by right-clicking My Computer as the HDD is now being used as external storage. How do I determine if the copy of Windows 7 I had is OEM or the retail version? 2. From what I have learnt in the forum, if my Windows 7 is not an OEM version, I can install iy on another computer, provided that I do a phone activation. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Hi.I recently bought an app for my android device with which to record home movies using the device's camera and utilising various filters and 'live' effects. It's a cool application and does everything i want it to, but the devs decided not to buy the rights to any file format that included royalties. Therefor, my home movies are saved only as WebM files that are accessable soley through the web (firefox html).This means that i have absolutely no way of PC editing or using my own movies taken from my own device! - which is pretty frustrating as i am eager to make some original youtube/vimeo films very soon.This is a bit sneaky and dishonest by the app devs as they should tell people this before buying the program, but the program itself is perfect (and pretty unique) for my movie-making needs. So, how can i convert my own personal recordings from a WebM to a saveable and editable file format on my Windows PC, and is there a safe video converter out there that i can use for this purpose?(Preferably low cost or free, but above all, safe).Thanks,KJ View the thread

After several attempts of running Windows Update Troubleshooter I was able to start Windows Update, but troubleshooter ends up with phrase that Windows Update failed were not repaired. When I try to download and install updates, I get error 80246008. Checking services.msc I do not see Background Intelligent Transfer Service listed. Any suggestions what to do? I do not have Windows installation disc since my computer came with pre-installed OS and I did not create repair disc (my fault). Is there any way to download missing BITS components?
