  1. Does CyberFox have synch like Forefox does? If it does setup a synch account in Firefox and once the initial synch is done set it up in CyberFox. All bookmarks, add ons and settings should migrate over. For bookmarks if synch doesn't work just use the Firefox export tool and export them to a file. Then import them into Cyberfox.
  2. The stripped down version of Cortana is great. I can't wait to see the full version working as it was designed.
  3. Are you part of a domain? If you are the domain admin has to adjust his software store settings. He probably has it setup to handle all client updates and software installations. It is set so nothing can be downloaded or installed from anywhere except the software store.
  4. It was neat and just might educate some of the people that get taken in by those scams.
  5. Hello and welcome to the community. Pull up a chair and join in on the conversations.
  6. It's does error detection and correction and buffers reads and writes. It's less volatile than non-ecc. The trade off is it's actually slower, but, data integrity is far better.
  7. That's ECC registered for servers. That is always 2 to 3 times more.
  8. Never heard of that one. I'll take a look.
  9. I never tried to overclock memory so I didn't know that.
  10. We're supposed to get 6 to 10 tomorrow into Monday morning. Then back into the deep freeze.
  11. This is great. When PC makers started to actually install the crapware I started and still do format and do a clean install of Windows. While that is a good solution for me there are many that would never be able to do it. I didn't even know there was software that could identify and uninstall this stuff. It very well could change the way I do my job and save the company some money. I would estimate it will save me at least 10 hours a week when I upgrade people to new laptops or desktops.
  12. It's the same with just about every software you download now. You have to do a custom install on everything. If the software doesn't have that option then I avoid it.
  13. I've been reading it for a while. Had a subscription for it too. I admit some of the articles have been less than stellar, but, things seem to be getting better.
  14. Intel has done this for years with CPU's. They sell at a lower clock rate and that leaves a lot of room to overclock. They do it to make sure what hits the market is stable. It looks like Corsair is taking this approach. Maybe that will be the norm for DDR4.
  15. I tried it for a while and it didn't see any performance improvements so went back to Firefox.
  16. That's a good write up.
  17. Howdy and welcome to the community.
  18. Dell has been good to me. Our stuff is old enough now that I'll just buy replacements for anything that breaks and have it overnighted. Laptops get replaced every 3 years and HP has been very good since I started using them 3 years ago.
  19. We use HP laptops and Dell desktops. Have contracts with both. We used to use Gateway and I for 1 was glad when they told me to find the replacement. Talk about bad tech support. I'd order a replacement part on Monday and get it a month later.
  20. 3 and my son has 2.
  21. If you visit other forums you can leave a link in your signature on those sites. Just check and make sure it's not against their guidelines. I do this although I rarely visit many sites any longer.
  22. Me too. Of course in my case being dyslexic helps.
  23. Servers have plenty of room. If I need more I have about 10 spare drives sitting in my workshop.
  24. I have a whole bunch of smilies that I never added. I'll get to them soon.
  25. and a new one:
