I thought we had one. Off to check.

Not good for Lenova. I didn't care too much for their stuff anyway, but, feel for people that are stuck in this mess.

Added another small tweak. There is a pencil icon next to the forum name. Clicking it will bring up a post new thread form to start a new thread in the selected forum.

Thanks. I shut the cache off to troubleshoot a problem. Then when I turned it back on I forgot to purge it so the site was alittle unstable until I shut it off again and did the purge. I really should add an unload/purge function to the script on shutdown.
-
I appreciate that Dougie.

They should have something in the help docs telling you the port. Most services will use 587 as the port although some use 443. As far as server you'd have to get that from the mail provider.

I forgot to turn the cache back on. Problem should be fixed.

I'm looking into it.

I am working on this as we speak. I have an addon specifically for reviews. I have it running in a testbed now, have been for a while actually, and I'm ready to install it live. Once it's done the reviews can start. I'll talk to staff about the particulars later today.

I figured it was Firefox acting up again. It's been 3 months so it's time for a refresh again.
-
Is anyone noticing any lag while posting or while browsing the site? I think my problem is Firefox causing my issues since IE is working fine. I just want to make sure what I'm seeing is not a site problem.
-
No that's this new feature you just seen.

I'm making most of it or hacking up old stuff of mine that I had when we used vbulletin. The ones I don't make usually have a free version so I'll download it and tailor it the way I want it.

If you are browsing the site and someone replies to one of your posts, post something in your profile or send you a private message you'll get a real time notice in the bottom left corner of your browser while on the site. So if you see this popup you'll know what it is for and what it does. It's one of the changes towards making the site more interactive.

Why Don't members post on Other members Profile!

I do when I see someone posted on mine. Maybe they have notifications off. -
I put that in place as a buffer to try and troubleshoot a problem.
-
I'm still tweaking things. Having fun doing it too.
-
If you have sync turned on when you refresh the install you can then sign in and get all bookmarks, addons and settings back.
-
This could be never ending. The new base style has so many options that every time I go in there I find something new.
-
I've had to refresh my install many times. It gets to the point where it just gets so slow it's almost unusable. I'll do a refresh and then sync my addons and settings back to what they were. Firefox will be back to normal for a few months and then I do it again. Try this. Restart Firefox with addons disabled and see if that speeds things up. If it does you'll need a refresh. Be aware that if you do refresh you get a clean install of Firefox and lose all your addons. Use menu >> help >> restart with addons disabled.
-
I tweaked all the styles a bit. If you notice any quirks let me know.

I just switched from adblock to uBlock and for sure it is faster. More configurable too. I also installed admuncher and I have to say I don't know how I got along without for all this time.

When I seen Dougies post I had to go to Help >> About to upgrade.

Thanks Dougie. Updating now.
