I can't be responsible for what happens to others and nor can I be
responsible for what Wiki publishes. I can only say that on dozens of
computers, each with a different hardware configuration, Automatix2 has
served me well. I might add that if you install Automatix2, Ubuntu
immediately comes up with an update so, you see, Ubuntu and Automatix2
are in sync now.

What NoStop is saying is Ubuntu leaves it up to the end user whether or not
to break the law.

The basic Linux philosophy.

It's also the way Drug Dealers operate.

No I had ultimate right from the start.. but I had used vlite to remove all
media center since I had no use for it..
on my other computers I had busniness that does not include this decoder

read here

If you are running the Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Business,
Windows Vista Enterprise, or Windows XP operating system on your computer,
you might need to install a compatible DVD decoder (also known as a MPEG-2
decoder) before continuing with the following activities.

It's ONLY against the law in the USA, although people in the USA who buy
DVDs or want to watch a video, for some reason, think they have a right
to it and install them as well.

Your bigotry and FUD towards Linux users is noted.

Now he is scared. No noted something. Maybe when he gets his annual
review, you can bring it up to his supervisor. Now go play with Ubuntu and
stop being an idiot.

My Vista Home Premium also played DVD's as installed from the OEM.

No need to worry. Act like a fool all day and see how much I care.
You're the one that looks like a fool, not me.

To note something does not necessarily mean to take notes.

Of course but since you use Ubuntu, you probably NEED to write things down.

Thanks for the recommendation, Alias. I installed Automatix2 in the Ubuntu 7.10
VM I'm running in VirtualBox. It warns US residents not to violate the DMC law.
Since so far I've selected none of the offerings, I haven't done that yet.
