I have always used Internet Explorer up until MS came out with Edge in Windows 10. I've tried other browsers in the past but have always come back to IE up until now.
-
It took me a while to get used to Edge, too. Now that I have my settings exactly the way that I want them, I'm liking it much more.

Microsoft is aggressively pushing its new web browser, Edge, to Windows 10 users when they attempt to search for other browsers - like Firefox or Chrome - using Microsoft's own browser. The tactic was first spotted by VentureBeatand also picked up by MarketingLand, which ran several searches in Bing on Windows 10 to show the various ways that Microsoft is pushing Edge. Right now, when Windows 10 users try to search for and download Google Chrome or Firefox from Microsoft's Edge browser, a dark bar appears at the top of the search results page saying that Microsoft recommends they use Edge, with a 'Learn Why' button. Learn Why simply leads to a marketing page for the Edge browser. (This experience was only reported in the U.S., by the way; we can't confirm whether this is something that Windows 10 users in other markets are seeing, as well.) Tech companies promoting their own browsers, or preferred partner browsers, isn't new. Google, for example, often suggests consumers use Google Chrome as their default browser while they're running Google searches. But since Microsoft (and others) have been pointing fingers at Google for years for what they believe are anti-competitive practices, the move by Microsoft to push its own browsers when users try to download others is...interesting. Mozilla CEO Chris Beard had already accused Microsoft of making it too difficult for Windows 10 users to choose Mozilla Firefox as the default browser in the new operating system. "Microsoft Edge was designed exclusively for Windows 10 with features and functionality that enhance the browsing experience such as Cortana, Web Note and Quick answers," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement to The Verge. "These notifications were created to provide people with quick, easy information that can help them get to know these experiences better. That said, with Windows 10 you can easily choose the default browser and search engine of your choice." Source : theverge

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eati...ng a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, Kin ya swallar?' The woman shakes her head no. Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?' The woman begins to turn blue, and shakes her head no. The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers, and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue. The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm, and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table. His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'

I, too am really liking Windows 10. I was using the Windows 10 Technical Preview for a few months so I was already used to it.

I can remember a time when OEMs shipped full installation discs with their new hardware. One of the reasons I purchased Gateway devices was because they always included that install disc which would allow me to do a full clean install anytime I wanted. When the shipping of those installation discs stopped we then began receiving recovery discs which would restore your system back to its original out of the box state. Those were initially on physical discs then they were stored on the hard drive and required the user to create set of recovery discs using their own CD/DVDs. As Windows 8/8.1 arrived on the scene a new system recovery/refresh process was introduced in the OS that built in the process which still accessed a recovery image on the hard drive but it was no longer necessary to make physical discs unless you wanted a backup copy of the recovery image. Of course that image was built up by the OEMs and meant they could include their additional software within the image so that any reset or recovery made sure their pre-installed software was still on the system. In Windows 10 that option continues to be available however, if you want to get a clean install which is free of the OEMs extra stuff you must have access to original Windows installation files. Luckily those ISOs are available for users of Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 to download and use to get the plain vanilla install of their OS without all those OEM extras. With all of these methods you will need a connection to the Internet and storage media such as your local hard drive, a DVD or USB flash drive to create the installation media. These downloads can be validated and accessed using either a retail or OEM product key. Some OEMs placed stickers on the bottom of their devices with the Windows product key on it however, in recent years they have begun embedding those keys in the system BIOS. You will need to retrieve your product key from the OS before clean installing so you can use it to download the ISO from Microsoft. Retail keys are usually available on the retail box, disc or in an email you received if purchased electronically. I use a program called Belarc Advisor (Free) to view the product keys for software, including Windows, that is installed on my systems. The other thing to be aware of is that some OEMs have unique hardware drivers which you may need to download from them directly so your system hardware will work properly after the installation using this media. Once you are ready to go here are the various ISO download pages: Windows 7 - Download Windows 7 Disc Images (ISO Files) Windows 8/8.1 - Upgrade Windows with only a product key Windows 10 – Download Windows 10 If you are a student or faculty at a school and you purchased the academic version of Windows you also have access to downloading your installation media for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 at Microsoft's Download Academic Products page. For more information on these free downloads you can also visit Microsoft’s Software Download Frequently Asked Questions page. Source : winsupersite

If you do the sfc /scannow and Windows Resource Protection is able to fix the corrupted files, you may not need to do a system recovery. -

I can't see your screenshot very well, Mike, it's too small. It looks as if the DM has all yellow bangs? If that's the case, it's probably a bad mobo. If all the yellow bangs are showing under wireless, the card is bad. -

I don't think that it's the motherboard, Mike. I think the freezing will stop after you do the Windows recovery. Did you try an sfc /scannow, first? -

I did read the reviews but I am going by what my two customers have told me. Neither one of them have complained about any keys sticking and both of them enjoy the very large letters. I have to confess, I like the backlit keyboard so much that I have actually considered buying one of them. I also love the larger letters.
-
I forgot to add, a couple of my customers have the Azio backlit keyboard and they both love it.
-
Either of these two should be suitable for you, Lina. They both have large lettered keys. The second one is also backlit. MORNING CHUCKLE............The keys! They weren't in my pockets. Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically, I headed for the parking lot. My husband has scolded me many times for leaving my keys in the car's ignition. He's afraid that the car could be stolen. As I looked around the parking lot, I realized he was right. The parking lot was empty. I immediately called the police. I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen. Then, I made the most difficult call of all to my husband: "I left my keys in the car and it's been stolen." There was a moment of silence. I thought the call had been disconnected, but then I heard his voice. "Are you kidding me?" he barked, "I dropped you off!" Now it was my turn to be silent. Embarrassed, I said, "Well, come and get me." He retorted, "I will, just as soon as I convince this cop that I didn't steal your damn car!" Welcome to the golden years...
