    Hey guys, someone offered me this job but I have no idea what I should charge for it and the person doesn't know what the job is worth: So I will like a list of 200 catholic schools with in a 30 miles radius from the zip code 11367 done on Excel. I will like the Name of the school, address, city, state and zip to be in there own column. I want to mail merge the excel list to MS and print it out on envelopes that I can send out. This would involve both research and data entry, any idea what you guys would charge for this please? Also, not sure how I would search google for that 30 mile radius fro m that zip code?

    Hey Pete, how's it going? Just would like to inquire about something for any possible future purposes. If a tablet starts locking up due to malware infection and you can't run an online scan and since it doesn't have a USB port, how would you be able to clean the infection please?

    Makes sense but as you know half of the people never save their info to begin with so if infected and can't get their data out or run online scan then what?

    Thanks, sorry I did not explain myself properly, when i said "in that situation", I was referring to when a table is too slow to allow for online scanning?

    ok but since no AV program is guaranteed protection against malware then my question still applies.

    Yes, everything is fast again, thanks. Just for my knowledge Cindy, how do you check for viruses on a tablet since it doesn't have a usb port and in that situation one would not be able to run an online scan?

    Thanks, I think when you yourself put out money to purchase parts you should not have to wait 30 days to get it back.

    What about in situations if there wasn't a repair done, only a diagnosis and you had informed the person that the pc cannot be repaired?

    Hey guys, I was watching a court case where the judge said a tech is only responsible to hold a customer's machine for 30 days but is this from the date of drop off or from the date when the customer was notified that the unit was ready?

    He is not my customer, just someone who called me up asking for help/advice.

    Thanks but he's pretty much settled this issue. Since it's only his xp machine now that still has the issue, he's going to upgrade it to win7, I appreciate the help though!

    Update, guy just said everything started looking normal on his win7 machine so only his xp machine now so I was correct, nothing wrong with the site itself.

    There is only a "save as" option but I just spoke to the guy and now I have abetter idea of his issue. On his 2 pc's running XP and win7 he is getting a little screwed up view of his site using both FF and IE but on my pc, I get a normal view of his site using both FF and IE. This suggests to me that it is not a website related problem? So then the problem has to be on his end only. I am going to tell him to clear his cache and also his router's cache and if same deal then try from another pc outside of his home.

    Hey guys, someone has an XP machine and all of a sudden only one site he visits [his website] is not showing as it used to, that site shows out of whack with both IE and FF. Only way to get the site to show as normal will be when he goes to VIEW and Zoom Out two times in succession, any ideas what's going on here or how to fix it please?

    I found it: Right-click on the folder. Select Properties. Click the Customize tab. Click in the box under Optimize this folder for: Select General Items.

    Hey guys, running win10, I downloaded some file off the net on two days [Friday and yesterday] all into one folder. Now I would like to separate the files downloaded for each day so I choose "date received" from the 'sort by' option in explorer but I am not seeing any results for that, any ideas please?

    I see what's going on here, on the pc itself the 'check now' orange button is not there but I am seeing it on my work pc.

    Doesn't work on my end, when I click that link it only directs me to the 'Software and results' page. I am thinking it may be due to a problem I am now seeing which is when downloading anything on the pc itself, it downloads but won't open when I run the exe file.
