  2. Yes Tony.My mistake.I am sick and overtired. My bad I went elevated command prompt, typed in CHKDSK /r said Y and on reboot now i have nothing but a black sceen. Absolutely wont boot now.
  3. Will check that,Tony. Just got this.
  4. Not at all, Cindy. Adding Flags makes no difference. I was thinking of doing a Fred Langa non destructive reinstall if I can't find a fix. That's a last resort and not sure that would fix the problem anyway.
  5. I have a test rig with Windows7 x64 Ultimate on a WD Blue Spinner Drive. It refuses to run CHKDSK from CMD or Safe Mode. Have run sfc /scannow a number of times. Run so many scans including Eset on line. Any clues to as to why? Not often I need help however this is one of those times.:) Thanks.
  6. Thanks Cindy. The difference is amazing. Everything including Street View is so sharp now, compared to the normal free version.
  7. Thanks for trying this link, Tony and Bob. We needed to know if it worked OK.
  8. On my test clean install, I needed the ethernet driver. Installed driver and then installed updates available, no prob. After reboot all working fine for me. Can't find an issue as yet.
  9. Hi Tony. There will be an extended period where the screen is black during install. Just wait and all installs as it is supposed to. I tested as a clean install. Haven't run chipset drivers yet.
  10. Bring it on,Google. M$ has been screwing us for too long.
  11. Hi Tony. This is my W7 PC. I just downloaded and burnt the Anniversary ISO from here. It did not try to install on my system. See if it works for you. http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/download-windows-10-anniversary-update
  12. You didn't read my post,Mike. You type in the Tile screen.
  13. I can't see what Mike's problem is,Cindy. I am thinking Mike is using the Cortana screen (getting confused) instead of asking in the Tile screen In the Tile screen when you type "Internet Explorer" a blue internet explorer box appears with "Desk App" under it. All I did was Right Click" on it and chose "Pin to Task Bar" It worked for me.
  14. Hi Mike. Cindy's instructions are quite clear. If your still having problems, watch this Video. Here is another way
  15. I can relate to some of those.
  16. Thanks Bob.
  17. All Excellent. The "end of shift" image is my favorite.
  18. Thinking also, it maybe going into Sleep Mode instead of shutting down clean, possibly. May have to check settings.
  19. The Net is full of people with the same issue,Tony. I came across this which may help. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/the-answer-to-windows-10-shut-down/712d9149-7b3e-43b7-a2ef-d57704a3af1c?auth=1
  20. I pulled the GPU completely apart and blew everything out. Cannot find the blade anywhere. Even removed the PSU in case it was stuck behind there. I removed both fans and wiring. Added new heatsink paste. Then I got an idea. I found 2 X 90mm case fans in my stash of spares and secured these directly over the openings on the Heatsink plastic cover. These 2 fans have 75mm blade width, same as the removed fans. I hooked up these two case fans directly to the Motherboard (PWR) Have had it running now for an hour and can't get the GPU temp over 29c. Thanks all for your interest and advice. Still going to get some of that Gorilla Super Glue. I use super glue often.
  21. I am going to Email the supplier here and get some of that Gorilla Super Glue,Cindy, The super glue in the tube we buy here only lasts for about 4 weeks and all goes rock hard in the tube as you can't seal the tube properly. (bad design) Doesn't work on all surfaces they say. Great for sticking your fingers together if your not careful.LOL
  22. Yes 11 blade fans. I got the information off this fan and googled. They are the fans in this GPU exactly. 4.30am here. Will worry about it bit later. Thanks for the help so far.
