  6. Hi Visionary. You have it down pat.:)
  7. Once a month is acceptable. You just said you defragged today at 3%. That probably wasn't a sheduled monthly defrag. That's what I was commenting on. You won't get a brain snapping improvement by defragging at 3%. I always switch weekly defragging off and once a month I analyse the Hard Drive to see if it's really necessary to defrag.
  8. Your HDD does not need defragging at 3%. Every time you defrag it puts stress on the HDD. Should keep defrags to a mininum.:)
  9. I use them all the time.So easy. I forget appointments and phone numbers often. Must be my age. I have sticky notes in my task bar and just click on that.:)

  11. Thanks Bob. Just thought it may be handy for old seniors who have memory issues like Golden Oaks where Gary is. Most of them don't have phones and only computers. It's there for anyone to read.
  12. Does any one use Sticky Notes on their Desktop? I find it very handy for important appointments as it is easy to forget sometimes..

  14. Hi Gary. Would you mind posting a Disc Image sceen shot, please. Very interested how you have them partitioned.:) Only for a special mate.:big_ha:
  15. Like yesteryear free space is again a premium if running SSD drives. As SSD drives come down more in price then more people can afford larger SSD's.A 120GIG SSD your haven't a lot of free space to play with and surprising how quickly a 120GIG SSD fills up as you only have total space to work with of around 111Gigs out of the 120G SSD. There is a simple solution when fighting for disc space and that is to move your pictures to another drive. Many users have up to 10GIGS of pictures on their C:Drive and some even more. Another problem is by having all your pictures on C:Drive is every scan you do the scanner keeps scanning your Pictures folder over and over and this bogs down your scan times. So easy to grab a picture you want to use is select the drive your pictures are now on from the tree and Bingo, you have that image to post in seconds. Another thing is not wait till spring, rather do your cleaning whenever your OS requires it.

  17. Hi Gary. How did you free up 10GIGS of disc space exactly.?:)
