Windows 8 is the worst program I ever tried to use. I actually returned the new Dell laptop I bought because of Windows 8. Couldn't figure out how to paste and copy. Couldn't stop it from jumping from screen to screen. Going to corners with the cursor to do anything is RIDICULOUS. Dell representative actually offered me $50 to keep the computer and suggested I sell it to someone else. Really? Windows 8 - MASSIVE FAIL.Now looking at Macs. View this thread

My computer was recently infected by a serious trojan horse despite supposed protection by IOLO system mechanic pro updated daily. Removal of the virus was difficult and in the end required several hours professional work. Fortunately so far as I know at present all recipients of the spam email sent by the hacker from my computer recognised the threat - not so IOLO! Customer service has not responded although issue has been recorded and incident number allocated. I recommend that if you have IOLO installed you replace it immediately. View this thread

The following problem is on my Brother In Laws computer,Running Vista. Computer starts up ok but after using the mouse a few times the computer will freeze and will also display a Black screen, resulting in a restart. I have tried a System restore and later a defrag, but the unit freezes before any diagnostics can be completed. I am using my computer to ask this question as my brother In laws unit is not working. I am helping someone who is getting random radio sounds on his computer. Microsoft Security essentials popped up a message saying that it found potential problems and highlighted the following link: C:ProgramDataMicrosoftMicrosoft AntimalwareLocalCopy {A1EA5643-894B-45A9-D620-F9B4967BFFE4}-encourages_worth_second[1].htm. It said to click on send to allow Microsoft to monitor his computer to determine if this is a potential threat, but the send button was grayed out. We tried various selections, but nothing worked. We also tried to search for information on the htm above and found reference to "Blackhole Exploit Kit v2.0 url pattern", but couldn't find anything similar in the registry or files on his computer. I tried to run windows update and it failed. I then ran 6 optional updates and after restart, I had a black screen, like I was in safe mode. I have a Samsung Infuse SGH - I997 cell phone. I have downloaded the software from Samsung with drivers and have installed it on my laptop running Windows 7 SP1. When I connect the phone to the USB port it charges but Windows does not detect the phone to install the device driver. I have tried other USB devices and the ports work for each on I tried except for the cell phone. Is there something I can do so I can download pictures from my cell phone onto my laptop? In the task manager at all times I'm using about 900-1000 MB of Memory or about 50% of my Ram at all times. I've had my computer for about two weeks now, and I've tried multiple times to update manually. I've tried to restart the computer when it says "update and restart". It always freezes and never completely shuts down. Other programs have not been able to update. I've always had to hold down the power button in order to shut down my computer no matter what. Help!
