  1. Depending on what OS or browser you are using each session will be what icons show in the posts. This does it per post and not globally so whatever OS or browser you're using when you post will be what shows in the post.
  2. A new red style has been added. It's called less red and you can switch to it by setting your preferences or by using the style chooser at the bottom. I get a less blue version done later.
  3. As you can see the post above was from my iPhone. Nothing changed in the post above it.
  4. Just a quick test. Nothing to see in this post.
  5. Cindy, it's magic. I did a small hack that gets the info and adds it automatically. If you switch computers or browser the post will show what you're using. It only changes per posts. Prior posts won't show it.
  6. I'll be adding styles with a neutral background color as an option. They will be done later today.
  7. My daughter got 2 in one day. One like yours. The other from the same person with same number a couple hours later telling her he was from the IRS and there was a problem with her tax refund. I wonder if these people are inherently stupid or what.
  8. That's why I rarely, if ever, download anything from any download site. I get it right from the software site. If they send me off to a download site to get it then I won't use it and if it's payware I won't buy it. I got stung a couple years ago downloading from download.com and since that time I watch where I download from.
  9. Icons have always been an afterthought for Microsoft. In the old beta tester usenet groups the biggest complaint was the icons.
  10. That's what the light red is. There would be no contrast. I'll experiment with it.
  11. In the address bar of the browser. Works as a search box too.
  12. I am using Windows 8.1. If I want to search for something when I visit a site I will right click and highlight what I want to search. Then right click and select search Google. I don't know if this is an extension or a default feature of Firefox. I've been using it so long now I can't remember.
  13. I always search Google directly from highlight phrase and right click. Rarely visit the site to search. So far I haven't see an issue on my search results.
  14. I found the main culprit of my Firefox problems. It was Adblock Plus. I removed it and all the issues I had disappeared. I installed Admuncher and all is good. Firefox issues cured and full ad blocking with no left over containers in IE and Firefox. It even works with Opera which I rarely use anymore.
  15. The problems I've been having with Firefox lately all stem from using Adblock and Noscript. My plan is to create a new profile after I install Admuncher and only load the extensions I need which are minimal. As much as I'd like to use IE 100% of the time I can't. I need Firefox so I can use Firebug to debug style issues. If I didn't have Firebug I would still be working on the styles for the site. Looks like I'll be installing Admuncher and starting fresh with Firefox one more time.
  16. I was going to go with a lighter red to replace the dark. I tried variations and the darker color seemed to work better.
  17. That is just the base style. No one has access to it except us.
  18. I know Cindy uses this. I am starting to use IE more and more. I do have custom accelerators to filer websites. Problem is it leaves empty spaces all over the sites when it removes ads. I am used to Adblock on Firefox and Chrome which removes not only the ad it also removes the ad container. So before I go to installing this does it remove everything so I'm not left with a bunch of empty space when an ad is removed? Will I be able to then remove the other filter lists I have enabled? Last question. Does this work as well as Adblock and will I be able to use this as a replacement for Firefox?
  19. That's what I like to hear.
  20. I have now turned on the new red style as an alternative. For those that think the there is either too much blue or red in the 2 styles I will add an alternative with no background color. Since the new style is modular it only takes a few minutes to change things. Thanks to all of you for putting up with me while I did this upgrade.
  21. Yep it was a sad day when Microsoft decided to not support OEM and took the downloads down from DR.
  22. Yes it did.
  23. I was a few revisions behind on the style we used as the default for the site. Because of that it became bloated as I added new stuff for new features and never removed the old. I decided to install the newest version and scrap the old. For the most part it isn't much different. There is a new logo, but, colors are basically the same. It should load much faster because for 1 it isn't bloated and 2 it has less images and images that are used are compressed. Also you'll notice that there are no more banners for staff. Instead you see a shield next to the usernames. Another noticeable change is the way the posts look. The user info which used to be on the left is now on top of each post. This makes everything look much better and neater. Before the end of the weekend or Monday at the latest I will be upgrading the red style. For now I'm leaving it on until I get the replacement done.
  24. I haven't heard of either of these. Sounds like handy tools.
  25. Firefox has a button you can add in the navigation, I have mine next to the home button, that gives you quick access to downloads.
