  1. Basically the echo request is blocked via routers. I think you must config your firewall to redirects ports (3389)
  2. Really easy. Create a batch file and write: Shutdown -f -t 3 save and then create a new scheduled task and trig it at 5 pm. Then as an action, select the file you have just created. End :)
  3. Wsus requires IIS, so it can be installed on standard with no problem.
  4. hi. No, there's no options to launch with different settings. You can only assign 3 different policy to 3 different account (freelancer1, 2, 3) but this Means that anytime you want to navigate on a different proxy you must logoff and logon with another account and so another policy.
  5. Same story, rodc is like a normal DNS but it just prevents zone transfer. Is not really important where is your we server, you just need the IP.

  10. Hi, usually wake on lan is configured on bios. You must set up an ip and if you can a password. You can't do this remotely, you must first vpn on your network, and then use wake on lan.
  11. Bit locker encrypts the data on hard drive, not on network. That means if I try to read your HD with a live cd I can't... But if your server is alive and I have access to server's resources, I can read data.
  12. I'm not sure I'M understanding your problem... But you must activate network discovery in order to see shares and others stuffs.
  13. Yes and no. You should not have webserver and dc together... Anyway a RDOC is quite the same to config, so yes, create cname

  18. Can you SNMP walk on windows server?
  19. The only way is to use ISA server, windows firewall is a BASIC firewall.
  20. There's an icon in control panel with a key. Open it and delete credentials.
  21. No, there's no way in windows firewall to do that!
  22. You need admin rights or specific permission to manage policies...
  23. Simply add your Nic, enable router role, or configure it, then route from WiFi to Ethernet. Use the built in program to configure ad-hoc network
  24. Yea you can, google: windows firewall block port. In admin tool there's firewall with advanced.security. There's a wizard to create rules.
