Wow, a mere, 0.6%! Same article, same link, but vista is this: Vista's
share has grown from 0.2% to 9.2% since the beginning of the year.

Need I same more, and I sure won't with you!!!

Take care, Robyn

A lot of people eat fast food. That doesn't make fast food a good thing
to eat.

The fact that Vista is force fed to consumers is all that means.

Give it another ten years and Linux might crack 1%.

And you in a vista discussion group trying to force feed Linux to vista
users!! Get lost, and go use you linux software some where else! I'm tired
of the crap I see from you, and you 0.6% followers. So are others who love
vista in these groups, and just require some help for some issues, that can
be solved without put downs, from the likes of someone like you, and others
as I seen.

Oh Wow! Earth shattering news. Linux use is up. Just think in 10 years
they will have 0.7% of the PC's world wide. Better call your broker and
purchase some of that Linux stock. In 50 years, the stock just might hit
$1.00.

Now back to our regular scheduled programming.

Just FYI

If it doubles once more, it will crack 1%. And, if it keeps doubling
every year, in seven years, it will 128%. Did you study arithmetic in
school? When the IBM Selectric typewriter was king, the PCs, whatever
the OS, had a 0% share of the market. There was a time when New Yorkers
wondered if the city would ever be free of horse manure. The percentage
of "horseless carriages" was nil compared to the horse.

Not at all. I don't pretend to attempt the impossible. I don't, like MS,
control the hardware and large OEMs. All I can do is make suggestions.
You are free to take them or leave them. You are also free to ignore my
posts.

Get lost, and go use you linux software some where else! I'm tired

You should ask yourself why Linux makes you and the other fanboys and
girls so angry.

Get over it Linux is the future and Windows is the past.

I think some type of Linux version is on a lot more PCs than that.
But, for general everyday use- most folks aren't ready to give up
XP. I have Ubuntu and PCLinuxOS (my favorite Linux) installed on
two different machines. But, most of the time, I'm using Vista and XP.

I will say, a year ago I would have thought that Vista's share would
be at least 20% by now. The numbers I've seen for Vista are not impressive
to me..... at all.

More than "up". It has DOUBLED.

Another Wintard who can't add or multiply. If Linux doubles every year,
in seven years, it will have 100% of the market.

Heh, you mean like people asking questions about the flaws in Vista and
no one knowing the solution?

Really? Maybe you need to grow up and accept the fact that most computer
users prefer Windows...not linux when given the choice.

Most computer users don't even know about Linux -- yet and hence my
NOBLE mission.

Thanks to MS' strong arm tactics with the OEMs and hardware
manufacturer's most users are not give or informed that there is a choice.

You wish!! Only in your dreams! I seriously doubt 0.6% will grow too fast
that's for sure. Probably that is far as it will grow!
