Well, Mister Kitcket has a point. There is a point in the Ubuntu install
(as in every Linux install) where it tells you that if you go ahead from
that point, it will erase all the data currently on the disk. It gives
you several warnings. After that, if you click OK, it will, without any
further warning, proceed to erase and reformat your hard drive!
The end result is that if a hacker got physical possession of your
computer, he could, using the Ubuntu install disk, delete all your
sensitive information! =
