Hey Alias,

Wintards around here are constantly arguing with you how pleasurable it is
to deal with Windoze Genuine Advantage. Now you don't have to feel left
out! Go here and you too can enjoy the hassle of proving your innocence and
having your system phoning home to give you permission to continue running
your computer ...

Who said Linux isn't as much fun as Windoze?

Cheers.

Oh, you don't have WGA on your computer. Please visit Windows Update and
download it.

MS says if you don't prove you have a non pirated copy of Windows,
you're a thief. Course you knew that and are just trying to sluff if off.

The affectionate name that some non Windows users use to refer to
Windows. Of course, you knew that too so one wonders why you asked.

Strange, I've never seen that from MS - please quote where they've
called anyone a thief.

I guess you're blind, deaf and dumb then. Not to mention logic impaired
like Frank. The ONLY proof I should need that I have a legit copy of
Windows it the receipt they gave me when I bought it and there is NO
reason for me to have to jump through a bunch of "prove you aren't
running a pirated copy" DRM crap over and over and over again. In fact,
MS is planning a new, "improved" WGA later on this year to ask you, once
again, to PROVE YOU HAVEN'T STOLEN WINDOWS!

So you better stop using Windows because you don't want to be labeled a
"thief". Wipe your system clean and just stick with Ubuntu.

Frank thinks his "job" is to blindly defend Microsoft practices. Frank
doesn't get paid a dime to do this and he doesn't understand what he's
defending. He refuses to learn, simply won't listen to reason, yet he
willingly and blindly screams and yells day after day everyone else is
an idiot and troll. Strange character Frank. But you know what, you
got to be tilted a bit off center to be a fanboy, and Frank is the
ultimate fanboy and will go right on defending Microsoft no matter
what. Strange isn't the half of it. Still nobody should expect
anything different from a fanboy, since that's why they became fanboys
in the first. Dumb, won't listen, willing to be led around by a ring
in their nose. LOL!

I'm not a Microsoft fanboy as they say. I use their products because that
is how I make my living. Do I believe in some of their deceptive practices?
Hell No. So you are right, sometime in the future, I just might become an
Ubuntu "junkie"!

It's my opinion that Alias used the wrong term. It shouldn't be thief,
but pirate. Please don't be stupid enough to open your mouth and say
you have never seen MS call anyone a pirate.

I used to only use Windows as an operating system since DOS until they
pushed the envelop too far and I found out that Linux isn't just for geeks.

I just cleaned up an XP computer where I found the following:

50 viruses.
Over 500 errant registry entries
7% free space on the hard drive.
C was the only partition.
26 GB folder on the desktop
Panda had been nuked by the viruses
Spybot, spywareblaster were also nuked.
Couldn't get on line.
When I ran the defrag analysis, the entire thing was red with two green
bars, not a blue one in sight.
54 Windows updates.

To top it off, the client didn't have a copy of XP.

Took me about ten hours to clean the damned thing up.

Owners: mother who doesn't have a clue about computers and a 12 year old
son who knows enough to be dangerous but not enough to stay out of

Pirate is not the appropriate term as the people who *steal* software
have no parrots, no eye patch, no sword, no boat and Jolly Roger waving
in the wind. They are accusing you of THEFT until you prove otherwise.
They try to cover up this fact with words like "pirate" not "genuine",
etc. but let's call a spade a spade.

I agree Alias, but I never had the idea MS was trying to cover it up.
To me it has always meant that and I just always thought that it is no
surprise to anyone who has bothered to pull their head out of their
arse. To the rest of them clueless people, I think they all share some
blame in being willing sheeple.

So, since the majority of the world doesn't agree with your Opinion why
are you still using something that you think is calling you a theif?

Stop using it if it bothers you so much.
