Not long.
It is a pathetic group.
Issues like " I can't go from 800x600 to 1024x768" , "ubuntu doesn't know
what a printer is" , "After installation...over 100 updates, how is this
better than Windows ? " , " ubuntu has 20% faster DL's on my system when I
manipulate the test" , much other nonsense.
If that is Microsoft's competition, lol , then rats can compete with lions.

Because he gets angry and frustrated trying to get Ubuntu to work right
so he comes here and vents his anger on us.

No, YOU are.

All your cherry picking of posts prove is that a lot of Windows users
are moving to Ubuntu and have problems doing so because they expect
Ubuntu to act like Windows.

My Ubuntu installations are working just fine, thank you very much. Oops.

I have to agree with you on that point, Alias, many people that try any
Linux distros do expect Linux to act like Windows . . . they expect to just
install it, load a few drivers and the programs they want to use and then
just use it.

With many Linux distros this just isn't that easy, mainly due to limited
hardware support (and the hardware suppliers are to blame for this, but with
good reason)

I personally enjoy tinkering with the OS, this is how one learns the inner
workings. Ask most Windows users what "compiling a kernel" is and they will
look at you with a blank stare, why? Because you never have to worry about
this with Windows.

True, with kernel modules you should never have to compile your own kernel,
but if you want top performance this is something every Unix/Linux user
should know how to do.

So to sum up, is Linux like Windows? Nope . . . will it ever be? Not
Likely . . . is it 'better' than Windows? Depends on how much you want to
learn about the OS itself, or if you simply want to install your stuff and
do what you have to do.

I personally have yet to install any Linux distro on a computer and not had
to tinker with something that wasn't working correctly.

Most Windows installations I've done, once I've hunted down the proper
drivers for the hardware, I didn't have to tinker with any part of the
system unless some driver update or software install went awry.
Windows, for the most part, does "just work" and Linux, because of poor
support from most hardware venders, often doesn't work with hardware that
people need to get their work done, or you have to jump through hoops to get
it to work.

ATi just recently decided to provide proper drivers to be included with
Linux distros and on repositories. This will help with getting, at least,
ATi video cards working to their full potential.
Previously if you wanted 'proper' drivers for ATi cards installed you had to
download from ATi, then compile them yourself, install them, configure them
manually, so on and so forth to get everything working. The average user
shouldn't be expected to do this just to get their 3D screensavers working,
if you know what I mean.

In Windows you accomplish the same thing with a double click on a downloaded
file, agree to a EULA for the drivers and nine times out of ten, they just
work.

Do I like Linux? Sure, I have a dual boot on this machine and another
machine that's running Gentoo (mainly for server purposes, no GUI, on a very
light system.)

Will I ever give up Windows? Nope, not if I intend to keep my business
going, and when I need to get real work done I always seem to end up in
Windows no matter how hard I try to stay with Linux.

But, that's me . . . others may have different experiences.

As they say, YMMV . . .

I did tests, they show that you don't know what you are talking about. Live
with it.

The snip function appears to be broken, maybe you can download a fix?
