I've done it and gotten those results time after time. Other Ubuntu
users have experienced the same thing. You're too fuçking stupid to
install Ubuntu, much less conduct some kind of test.

Just tried speedtest.net and got the same discrepancy, 20% slower with
Windows XP on three machines and I tested it three times on each OS. Oops.

I am contemplating taking my "noble" endeavor to alt.os.linux.ubuntu.
They are already starting to whine there...poor babies.
ubuntu users sure are sensitive....too much dickering with a toy OS mixed
with caffeine ?

Well open GPE and remove the reserved bandwidth and try again.
Why not load Vista, you know the OS you say is cr@p and try that.
Afraid it might be better than Ubuntu?
Having tried both I can state that for most things Vista is better than
Ubuntu.
You just pass on hearsay and have no idea of what you are talking about.

Sorry, I don't know what GPE is and Google shows nothing relevant.

Why should I. I'm getting almost 12 megs that I signed up for with Ubuntu.

I did tests. Tests show that Windows is slower than Ubuntu. Live with it.
