    So, for the past week, I have been denying Windows updates. This morning, I got a prompt to restart my computer to begin the update. I denied it again and shortly after, I left the computer room. I came back upstairs a few minutes later and discovered it had restarted and begun the update on it's own. :( After five reboots and 2 1/2 hours, it finally completed. Turns out it was the Fall Creators Update. I have never had a Windows update take this long or reboot so many times. It was very frustrating.

    You are not affected because you haven't updated your BIOS, Peter. (2011) In any case, they have removed the BIOS updates that are creating problems and are working on releasing new ones.

    It boggles my mind how anyone could hurt an animal.

    We have had Jax for almost 12 years now. We rescued him from a shelter when he was 13 months old. He's getting up there in years and it's beginning to show. He was severely abused before we adopted him and he has two pins in his rear leg.

    Although this won't be much help, my husband has the same problem with his laptop, which is connected wirelessly. Every time there is a Windows update, it stops connecting automatically and I have to go in and reset the settings. I run Windows 10 on a desktop, connected by Ethernet and do not have that problem. Maybe another one of our tech's knows of a work a round. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.
