  1. Yes not the place to be in Summer.Extreme temperatures, as you know, plodr. Sadly 2 German Tourists have perished in the outback. The man perished first and now his Wife's body has been found. So Sad. http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/northern-territory/nt-police-fear-for-safety-of-german-tourists-missing-near-alice-springs/news-story/5ffa9d5c9e29653008fafcd8f58afe99?nk=73f7aeab6697fda2729270887645715f-1487074814 http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/northern-territory/police-continue-search-for-missing-german-woman-after-husband-found-dead/news-story/22160038c585880d47dcd9d69a74d3b2?nk=73f7aeab6697fda2729270887645715f-1487075390
  2. The humidity is shocking here as well, plodr. No wonder the people of Coober Pedy went underground. They weren't silly. http://metro.co.uk/2015/05/28/theres-a-whole-town-in-australia-that-lives-underground-5219091/
  3. Yes Tony. Complete ends of the spectrum. How hot does it get where you live in summer? Tony. Guess you would have some very hot days as well.
  4. Just have to, Cindy. No alternative. About three weeks left of Summer and hope for cooler temps. Day after day of 40c+ temps are very draining. My AIR-CON has been screaming 24/7 for some weeks now trying to cope.
  5. Well today was our hottest day since records began. Reached 47c or 116.6 Fahrenheit. OMG! it's hot.
  6. Baby Pugs. Cute or what!
  7. > Paddy bought a camel from a farmer for £100. > > > The farmer agreed to deliver the camel the next day. > > > In the morning he drove up and said, ‘Sorry son, but I have some bad news. The camel’s died.’ > > > Paddy replied, ‘Well just give me my money back then.’ > > > The farmer said, ‘Can’t do that. I’ve already spent it.’ > > > Paddy said, ‘OK then, just bring me the dead camel.’ > > > The farmer asked, ‘What are you going to do with him?’ > > > Paddy said, ‘I’m going to raffle him off.’ > > > The farmer said, ‘You can’t raffle a dead camel!’ > > > Paddy said, ‘Sure I can. Watch me. I just won’t tell anybody he’s dead.’ > > > A month later, the farmer met up with Paddy and asked, ‘What happened with that dead camel?’ > > > Paddy said, ‘I raffled him off. 8. Further. In your first post, Kick, it says: "96811 Application Information 24/01/2017 19:07:47 Wlclntfy 0 6000 Chris-PC 4 124 The winlogon notification subscriber <SessionEnv> was unavailable to handle a notification event." Going by that looks like your OS needs that .dll, and somehow it's been deleted. I presume your Windows system is 32bit. The Wlclntfy.dll can be downloaded and installed if you so wish. Would stop that event viewer entry, I would guess. A question for Techies. "The sfc /scannow command (System File Checker) scans the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible." I think this should work in "Kicks" case. He may have to run a couple of times. It should put that .dll back? What are your thoughts????
  9. Hi Kick. If it not causing any issues, I would live with it till one day you do a reinstall. Sometimes you can make something worse trying to fix a minor issue. I have done non destructive reinstalls, but would not go that route again. P.S. I have a silly thing happening with this computer. My Hard Drive LED usage is not showing on the front of my Computer Tower. Instead it is showing all the time in my monitor start button. The front panel wires are correct on the motherboard. I just live with it. edit. Fixed in a fashion.:)
  10. Hi Kick. You said you don't appear to have any restore points that pre- date this issue. Windows makes automatic restore points. You don't have any when you tick the box "Show more restore Points"? My Windows7 SP1 has.
  11. Thanks Tony. I can live with it if I have to. I hate anything beating me.LOL
  12. I will try to explain.
  13. OK Thanks Bob. I was worried it was only me.
  14. I have Firefox version 50.1 and Google set as my search engine. When I go to type anything in the center box, my type doesn't appear even though the start is flashing. I click the box a second or third time and all is well. This is happening on three computers. Anyone else experiencing this PITB? I like using the middle search box. I can't pinpoint what is causing this. It may be just Australian Google.
  15. YES! YES! YES!
  16. Yes the woman spoke non stop till I shut down the Computer time after time. How many they must catch with this scam. A normal person would panic. There was no other option but to reboot, Tony. That's what I did.
  17. Yes. A real PITB when one is busy, Cindy.
  18. UPDATE. Must have come down with a freebie I was installing. I uninstalled the Freebie and run all Scans. Don't know were it went, but all seems to be working OK again, now. Worried me for a few minutes. I went here. https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-error-dw6vb36-virus/
  19. These clowns should be hunted down and de-nutted. Malwarebytes say Computer is clean. At the moment, every time I try and access the net, this page pops up. Have got a clone, but will lose latest programs, Photoshop edits and Data. Pete?
