  1. Site upgraded to the newest version of xenforo. During the upgrade I also upgraded the default style which added some bug fixes and extra customizations. I will be retiring a the alt styles. In their place I will add a dark default version and another similar style to replace the light alternative style. If you encounter any problems let me know by posting the site feedback forum.
  2. You sure are. We are heading down a slippery slope. The more we can control with our phone the more we are at the mercy of the unscrupulous
  3. I seen this. I know Sprint also does it. When I log into my account even after logging out and closing the browser the site knows it's me.
  4. I do believe all browsers are vulnerable to this. Just disable SSL 3 and you'll be ok.
  5. Yes it is.
  6. Howdy and welcome. The reason some of the threads are older is because this site has been around a long time. It went through a few database crashes and few name changes along the way. The data is fragmented because of it. In a way the site has come full circle.
  7. I had heard about this zone. It all has to do with the SETI like listening dishes in the area.
  8. That should be a problem for them to create the prints you want.
  9. I have never used DropBox but I do have an account I setup when I got my first Android phone.
  10. I created a bootable flash drive a couple years ago and now all I do is delete the version of the OS I have on the drive and copy the new OS files from the ISO. I used the old fashion way using diskpart in command window.
  11. You should be able to uninstall it by going to add/remove programs and turn windows features on/off.
  12. I've seen some of these on a TV on Unexplained Mysteries. I've always been fascinated by this kind of stuff. I had a strange experience when I was in college and ever since I've read just about every book and seen just about every documentary about these things.
  13. It's starting to look like we need to go back to cash like the old days. No way you can get your info stolen that way.
  14. I have all my desktop icons in the start menu with the exception of the recyle bin. I don't like having anything on the desktop, I delete all program shortcuts and don't have desktop icons on, but I do like easy access to the default stuff they provide. Moving them to the start menu gives me the easy access need. In the past I used keyboard commands.
  15. Apple has always done this. Of course Apple is a hardware company and makes no money off their software. I think Microsoft has other plans in the works. They will give you the OS and then start some kind of subscription service like they did with Office. The downloadable version of Office we have right now will be the last version.
  16. They said they were planning to do that. They want to test Windows update so when they roll out Windows 10 the upgrade will be easy. I don't know why they did it so early unless they plan to release sooner than expected.
  17. I've been messing around with the start menu. It works much the same as the metro screen did. I've put all my most used programs as tiles. It sure has uncluttered my taskbar
  18. Webpages would load faster, but, you'd get stale content.
  19. I buy just about everything from Newegg. There is a micro center in Westmont which is about an hour north of me and I did go there once. I needed replacement scsi drives for a server and rather than wait for them to ship I went and picked them up.
  20. I try to fix things as fast as possible. Can't have any problems when users need help. If things don't work they find some place else to help them.
  21. What browser are you using Dougie? Can you post the error message you're getting in the JS console like it says in the error? Do you by chance have JavaScript disabled? I haven't see this before. Maybe the sticky header JS is causing problems. I've been meaning to add a setting to shutoff in user settings. I'll get to doing that now if that is causing problems.
  22. While that is possible a good coder would simply change the function. I highly doubt Microsoft programmers are to lazy to fix a small section of code or that Microsoft would even allow a name change based on a function of the code that may or may not work in the name was Windows 9.
  23. I've got it running on my Mini and this weekend I'm going to load it on the old server.
