I get a warning of a TROJAN on a volume in my pc but neither fix-it, bt health check or safety scanner can detect anything. Is there any way of detecting which volume is responsible and how to get rid of it. It only came this week during a routine sweep View this thread

I have 2 incidents of Exploit:Java/CVE-2013-0422 and 2 incidents of Exploit:Java/CVE-2013-1493 showing in my history as &quotQuarantined&quot. They do not show up when I click Quarantined Items Only. Starting to look at deploying Office 2103 through SCCM In previous version it was recommended to deploy the 32-bit flavour of Office even on a x64 client machine. My questions are 1. Do I assume now that given there are sub-folders for x86 and x64 that you should be deploying as per the relevant O/S i.e. running setup.exe in the x64 sub-folder for a 64 bit client 2. Assuming yes to the above does this means you have to create 2 MSP file one for x86 and one for x64 or will one created via x86 work ok for a 64 client? 3. Can I still place the custom MSP file into the root. Hi, I have windows 7 starter. I recently had a trojan virus on my computer it was called Trojan:Win32/Ramnit.A This virus had caused me to not be able to turn on my security center but now it has been fixed and the security center works now. However, my action center is telling me that I need to turn on my firewall but it won't let me it says: Action Center can't turn on Firewall. So I clicked turn it on manually but when windows firewall comes up it says "windows firewall is not using the recommended settings to protect your computer". Next to the message is a button which says "use recommended settings but when I click on it an error message comes up saying: "Windows Firewall cannot change some of your settings. Error code:0x80070424. I used the diagnose and fix Windows firewall service problems automatically (Microsoft fix it).. I ran the program and after the troubleshooting had completed it said that 2 issues were found: 1. Windows could not start windows Firewall. 2. Windows firewall service is not started. After a recent problem, I have done a clean install of Windows Vista 32 bit Business from my installation CD, with SP1 included. Once installed, windows update informec me that there were 130+ updates to install and kept crashing the PC whilst trying to download them. After several attempts, I reformatted and re-installed windows, then downloaded SP2 immediately. There are still lots of updates to download, but first the newer version of Windows Update installed itself. The new format userpage only allows updates to be sorted by filesize or by name, so they are not in date order. It seems to me that logically, I ought to install updates in the order that they were released to prevent any conflicts. Does it matter if updates are not installed in release-date order? What order should I install the updates in? (I've found that by only selecting a few at a time from the list, after much hard work I can at least install them without the PC crashing.)Also, my system is still unstable and I intend to re-load everything again to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. Is it possible to download updates to a folder on another drive to prevent the need for downloading them all again if the same problem persists.Many thanks for your assistance, from a frustrated and inexperienced user!
