  1. Hello,It seems that many users experience the problem with ntvdm.exe after installing the security update KB2707511. As of today, it still hasn't been solved by Microsoft successive updates. It is possible to forward this issue to Microsoft? What is the procedure? Thanks,Marc View this thread
  2. Not really sure where to find the answer. I've seen a lot of articles saying that the MS update KB2823324 needs to be uninstalled as its known for causing stability issues. The update has been installed on my system however doesn't seem to be causing any problems. Do I still need to remove it? View this thread
  3. How can I install Security Update KB2813170 on my Windows Vista when I get a failed error msg 80092004? I have tried multiple times to install this update, but it fails each time with this same Error #. Thank you. View this thread
  4. After receiving some automatic updates, (Thursday) the time on my computer reset iself back to its original factory settings in 2001. So, when I plug the computer in, it automatically goes to set up. (I would normally plug it into the electricity and then switch the machine on via the tower button - but the set up process by-passes the tower button.) The machine seems to think it is a new machine again. I have since used custom update and it returned the error code 0x80072F8F. The directions on this to alter the clock worked at first, but the clock returned to the 2001 setting when the machine was next turned on. The 2001 settings have the added problem of making site security certificates invalid in Internet Explorer. Can you advise please on how to solve the problem? View this thread

  10. When I right-click on the document icon inside a Library Document folder, the options include "copy" - but I want to send the copy to another folder, and there doesn't seem to be any way to direct the copy to another folder. How do I do that? How do I copy a Word document from Folder A to Folder B, without having to go to the trouble of opening the Document in Word and doing "Save As"? Thanks for your help! I have completed the tasks in "Error 0x800B0100 when you try to install Windows Updates or Microsoft Updates" listed at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956702?wa=wsignin1.0 and still have the same problem. I have run the System Update Readiness Tool as well and am still unable to run the Windows Update. He is a computer programmer and told me thats because its his e-mail listed on the router. I'm just wondering if there is anyway to find out what other e-mail addresses the logs were sent to? 21. After installing windows XP pro updates on 9th April 2013 (or there abouts) my computer now takes about 35 minutes to boot up (was about 5 mins before). During this time the CPU is only working between 0% - 1%. After about 35 mins the CPU starts working as normal. When i use system restore to go back to 8th April 2013 (ie before the updates) the boot up time goes back to normal. Boot up time is also normal when i boot up in safe mode. I have checked for viruses etc using security essentials and malwarebytes and my system is clean. I have also performed chkdsk /r. How can i fix this? View this thread
