  1. your router MUST support the service, usually there's a section on your router's config called dynamic where you can write user and pass of your account. Simply create an account and then put data on your router :) each router has its own procedure.
  2. you can also use a free service like the one you've found, there's also no-ip as a service :) Actually I can't find the free version of dyndns too.
  3. It's exact the same... You must register and then set up user and pass on your router, nothing more.
  4. Dyndns is free but you don't have all the features. As said read the last post in the link I've posted before. you must register with a username and pass, then set this on your router and that's all.your router must support the service.
  5. If you set everyone as shared permission, it shouldn't ask for passwords
  6. Welcome! Enjoy your stay!
  7. It works with your router, but unless you can reach your router... It's useless
  8. If you cannot reach your router, you can't do that. Dynamic DNS work with your router!
  9. No sorry, but I thought you were wrong... Of course it's impossible... You need at least 200 GB to transfer 200... And if you to grow your C disk to 200, it's impossible too until it is a single drive.

  11. Download and install ROBOCOPY it's a command line tool, use the option R or Z I don't remember, anyway use it in restartable mode.
  12. Hi and welcome! Enjoy your stay!
  13. use a shared storage on your servers (network disk) and then add the role File Server Replication. Shadow copy is another thing.
  14. Install ultravnc on server
  15. Check on your server and on your clients these settings: HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\services\lanmanserver\parameters HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\services\lanmanworkstation\parameters Requiresecuitysignature Enablesecuritysignature If the server requires the signature, enable it on WS. If you are not sure, post the server's values and WS's values.
  16. 1) the Workstation's clock must be the same of the domain controller, so set the policy to sync your WS to your DC. 2) there's a policy which says REQUIRE SMB SIGNATURE, you must enable it on the client side.
  17. check on chrome's forum... this shouldn't be a problem with MS policies.
  18. Hi and welcome. Good luck for your cert.
  19. Pay attention... When you have a good connection you can use RDP, but when people use a remote connection, the RDP can be really slow. XenDesktop uses a compressed protocol and it work really really good.
  20. Hi, So, if you have 1 dc you will have less problem. First of all be sure that the object is not used by nobody (best thing is to restart the DC), when sure, rename it and wait until the resync of the DC (even if there's only one). When finished you should be able to use the new name. As you said before, the best thing is to recreate the object, I do the same thing because I'm sure it will work. If you have to rename something, follow the procedure above.
  21. run the resultant group policy to check where's the problem. Usually there's an access denied, if so, check permissions.
  22. check 2 things: 1) time sync, WS must be synced with DC's clock. 2) Enable the SMB signing on WS side
  23. why do you want to connect a vpn on a LAN? that's make no sense... Anyway there's the ROUTING role in windows server for that.
