Will Macromedia Flash ever run with Vista?

Many folks had trouble in the beginning. I've had Vista since a month after
release myself. Had to go to the folder on my PC where Flash Player was
located and then right click > run as administrator to get it to work right
back then.

I also use IE7, but Flash Player does not work for me on the page original
poster linked. I tried an uninstall and then reinstall both normally and as
administrator. Neither worked.

Configuration can include lots of things I would think. Hardware and
drivers in combination with the pre SP1 patch may be the problem. The
reason I think this is that Flash Player worked every where for me before
that and now it doesn't work on some sites.

It certainly is not uncommon for many folks to have trouble with a given
program and many to have it work just fine.

You're lucky! So, are you saying SP1 may fix the problems of IE7 and Flash
working on Vista? I have no problem at all with accessing (say) YouTube on
Firefox but try it on IE7 and it will not work. I have tried so many so
called 'fixes' without success, even though they are reputed to work for
many. After about a week of changing just about everything on my laptop
(Vista Home Premium) I cannot ever get past the warning to update Adobe Flash
to latest edition on YouTube.
I have no such problem on my PC with Win XP OS and IE7. Oh well back to the
abbacus!

-You can't access the content of numerous sites without the Flash plugin
for
your navigator.
-

I had this problem on two identical pcs, one would run all sites, the
other not. Despite numerous installs of macromedia the problem
persisted

The problem was resolved on the pc that didn't work

Control Panel -> Program and Features

uninstall all instances of Adobe flash.

Then go back adobe and reinstall from their website.

That's just ONE of the many fixes that has been suggested to me. I just
don't bother any more - defeatist etc. Nothing has worked for me nor for many
others on other forums in the UK. I don't know if it's a Vista thing or an
IE7 thing. I'm just hoping Vista's SP1 will fix it. But I'm bot downloading
that until I see what effect it has on others. I can wait -)
