Unusual Computer Build

[DSTM]

I am in the process of putting all computer parts in a Yamaha shelf Radio.
Normal sized hardware. Why? Because it's quite a challenge this one.
I have bits everywhere and so many modifications must be made.
It will have a CD/DVD as well. I am pulling my hair out with this one.
If this works I will post when finished.

I think it's going to turn out good. You'll need to use your imagination to make it into something special and I have no doubt you'll be able to do it.

Yes this one is difficult as back panel is half of the base and has a 5mm raised pressed rib running across the middle of the base,so Mobo can't sit flat on risers.So a new base and rear panel will have to be made. You can't see there but my workshop is fully equipped with every electrical tool and machines one could wish for. I am up for the challenge.

Yes it was working fine,Tony.
Was not aware it had monetary value.
It was sitting on a shelf in my workshop and thought "why not"

I help a guy who has a TV/audio repair shop. He's getting these receivers. Lots of turntables also. People here love the older technology.

Yeah because it was better technology in many cases, and that specific receiver Dougie is using is worth a lot of cash.

I have made modifications to the inner frame.
If only I had known.
All the more reason now to make sure it turns out the best I can do.
