Ugh! I now see that you are using one of those disreputable services
that suck up legitimate newsgroup postings are republish them. You'd
have a much better experience if you would access the newsgroups
directly using a newsreader. See

Besides your own personal experience using such a service, you should
also be aware that some participants here won't even answer a message
from you if they see that comes from such a service.

Pictures are sometimes useful, sometimes not. It depends entirely on
what's being discussed. In the enormous majority of cases, no picture
is required.
But as far as I'm concerned, I won't deal with pictures presented in
the newsgroups. I'm not willing to incur the risk that viewing them
entails, and if that sometimes means that I can't help someone because
I can't see his picture, so be it.
