I had Vista suddenly and without warning lock me out of my Windows user
account. The KB note that describes the problem said to create a new user
account and manually copy all my files there. The description of the
problem was that a data file had become corrupted or that the user account
had "entered a backup state"(????). I was not satisfied with the
explanation, nor was any advice given on how to prevent a recurrence...
