If anybody has this card or is simply interested, here are my results of overlcocking it.

Test computer
-P4 2.4Ghz
-512MB DDR333
-PowerColor Radeon 9600 PRO 256MB - speed: 400 core/2*200 memory(stock)
-Windows XP Pro (best one for testing in my opinion)
-Newest Catalyst drivers from www.ati.com

Achieved results
- Core: 448Mhz
- Memory: 2*241Mhz

If either one of those was raised by a small amount, it wouldn't work well anymore. The overclock gave me about 10FPS gain on most of the tests I ran, on other ones the gain was smaller. Pixel Shader was the most noticable speed increase. Also the fill rate increased by a nice number. Overall, Im very happy with the result of the overclock. I know this isn't the best card, considering the speed of memory was lowered by 2*100 than the Radeon 9600 PRO "Built By" ATI, but still its good for now. No additional cooling was used.

I have the same card as yours. First time i bought this card, i can't even get near to those results. I did something with the bios and i ended up with nothing on the screen. Brought it back to the store and change the card. Finally, i got the same results as yours.

Test computer
Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz
Kingston 256MB*2 DDR333
PowerColor Radeon 9600 PRO 256MB - (R96-D3GN)
Microsoft Windows 2000 pro.
Omega drivers v2.5.51

overclock results - using atitool 0.0.20

Old card (bad flash)
core clock - 421 Mhz
Memory clock - 225 Mhz

New card (the one that i'm using)
core clock - 450.00 Mhz
Memory clock - 241.20 Mhz

I was just wondering, can it be the old card that I had before was actually a 9600 pro ez 128 MB ? I looked at the sticker on the card, it shows that it is that model. I guess a sticker wouldn't prove anything. ;) Or maybe the card itself is no good?
Anyway, at least I know how far this card can be overclocked. Thank you for your results, or else i would just be happy with the old card results and never knew about it. Thanks again :D

the 256mb version sucks. you should've gotten the 128mb version. ati didn't release specs for a 256mb version, so you don't exactly get what you'd expect. the core is at 400, but the memory is at 200 x 2. whereas the norm for the memory should be at 300 x 2. your core runs like a pro but your memory runs like a standard. not really double memory if it can't even perform.

please tell me how can I overclock my 9600pro :(
PC:
