Yes I understand that, just thought it would help to clear up why one fully
patched Windows XP SP3 would have a different version number for
iexplorer.exe than another fully Patched version of Windows XP SP3. And of
course that depends on whether the Package Installer chooses the QFE or GDR
branch of KB947864 to install.

Agreed, Updates haven't hit the servers here yet(usually around 3:00 PM DST
on Patch Tuesday) so can't say for sure:)

Stop using the webmail-for-dummies interface to Usenet that Microsoft
attempts to usurp in pretending they have forums. Use a real NNTP
(network news transfer protocol) client, like Outlook Express,
Thunderbird, Xnews, XanaNews, 40tude Dialog, Forte Agent (but not their
free version), etc. Then configure a news account within it to get to
newsgroups. Microsoft's NNTP server (msnews.microsoft.com) is free.
Your ISP may also provide NNTP (newsgroups) service.
