I spent a night in Coober Pedy on a different camping trip through Alice Springs and up to Darwin. (That trip was in June or July so we had "winter" temps).

Yes not the place to be in Summer.Extreme temperatures, as you know, plodr.
Sadly 2 German Tourists have perished in the outback.
The man perished first and now his Wife's body has been found. So Sad.
