So, bull dog, what products were they? Is the reason you won't fess up
because you're ashamed of the products?

Absolutely yes, to protect Windows.
By the way, what happens when you delete a network file from your
Windows machine? Isn't it blown to la la land?
On my local trash bin with that POS Linux? And Windows does not use
mounts, it uses URL.
How much money do you spend and de-fragmentation software?
Did you know that the latest UPS worldship (which is not so common on
business networks..) installation CD come with a BIG warning,
incompatible with Pinata? Sorry Vista?
Please tell me something, If VISTA is so awesome, why was the
development team "revamped" in favor of Windows 7?
Stick to your toy-R-us OS.

Go ahead and try. And do make sure that those that require the permissions
setup that only Linux offers will work on Windoze. Geez.

Cheers.

Hmmm, like a (to name just a)few of really excellent apps: amarok, brasero,
backuppc, X-windows, AWN, Knode, Konversation, Evolution, rsync, samba,
banshee, cowbell, streamtuner, pidgin, enlightenment, and k3b perhaps?

Tell us when you get compiz-fusion working on Windoze.

Cheers.

To protect Windoze boxes you nitwit. Linux can serve files and email to
Windoze boxes. Gotta keep 'dem viruses outta there or Windoze will
collapse.

Cheers.

Sendmail.

Posting that a person marginally likes Windows better in a Windows forum is
about as far from trolling as you can get. Anything more than that verges on
fanboi'ism. If the OP's intent was to bait and bring out the trolls, then,
"Mission Accomplished".

While your position has some technical merit, from the OP's purported
functional position it is appropriate to combine the platform and the apps.
Support, training, compatibility, policies, and standards are part of the big
picture to get the job done.

I still support the OP in not devulging his requirements. I've seen too many
responses along the lines of, "Well duh, just go get the source here and
compile it for your needs." and then Mr. Businessman is wasting his time
building and tweaking tools to get his work done when those tools already
exist.

Might want to search the web. There are small SMTP/POP3 servers available as
shareware/freeware. Have been for a while actually.
