Go to windows explorer,,,, (right click on start)

Go to C: folder and click on users

click on public and look for the desktop folder

(if its not visible under public, go to tool, folder options, and view)

select show hidden files/folders

Then you should see C:\Public\Desktop and any Icons in it....

 

I did this, but I didn't see any ICONS... Since there was nothing in

the folder, I Deleted it and the ANNOYING Icons disappeared... THen I

recreated the folder to ensure I didn't mess up some other

file/reference
