problem with AOL mail

i have a fairly robust dell optiplex gx520 PC -2GB RAM, ....works fine..but

on an intermittent basis when i click the mailbox icon on the menu bar in AOL

9.1 to open mail

...computer shuts off and reboots... i have tried registry program

fixes...and reinstalling AOL 9.1...is there any one out there who could give

me a sense of what causes this reboot??.. i dont have this problem with any

other program...only AOL 9.1....i would contact AOL , but they are no longer

supporting their product...of course the obvious answer is to not use the

clunky product..but i had been using if for a while and had no

problems...computer is virus free...and has a big hard drive capacity..
