Posted August 23, 200816 yr Do any of you who are having the problem actually have SQLExpress installed? I get the service startup failure, but since SQL Express does not run on my machine (this is by choice - I deliberately installed SQL Server developer with a default instance BEFORE installing the VS 2005 - and now VS 2008) The SQL Express may come with VS2005 but I suspect it is possible that it doesn't install if you already have a default instance of SQL on your machine. Which, if you install SQL Developer, the chances are good that SQL Express is not installed. -- Regards, Jamie "Phyllisa" wrote: > I apologize, but do not know what a hotfix log is.
