What happened to Windows 2008 server remote access?

I have bought 5 new 2008 servers to replace my 2003 servers. I installed a

USR external modem and enabled Dialup networking Route & Remote access. All

went well, no errors, Routing & remote access for dialup running ok. Modem

shows ok, did a test dial out, OK.

Modems will not answer on any of the 5 servers, AA light blinks but thats

it. Is there something new in 2008 server I am missing, just to get the modem

to answer? I'll worry about authentication later.. I had no problems with

this on 2003 servers / same modems. I even tried a diff modem on one.
