Win 2003 services with srvany.exe

Hi all,

I have an app that I need to run as a service. I used SRVANY and INSTSRV to accomplish

this in the test XP Pro computer however, I am having problems doing this on a Win 2003

Server (not SBS) SP1 computer.

When I start the service nothing happens, no log is created. I then tried running the Calculator

applet as a service and got same results. FYI: I did the same with XP Pro and Calculator

started just fine.

I had a look around and found articles such as:

Could this problem be due to some difference with Win 2003 that I am not taking into account?
