Hi There, I have been given a laptop to fix, it is running vista

premium, im not that used to vista yet, (Still using XP and Ubuntu) It

will only boot into recovery mode, if I tell it to do a startup repair

it sits in "Attempting Repair" for hours and never gets any further,

(left it for over 16 hours) if I select safe mode it also goes into

repair mode, I managed to get it into windows using "last known good"

and it all worked fine, so I backed up what data I could find and

restarted, now it is back to recovery mode and last known good also goes

into recovery mode.... im guessing there is a flag somewhere telling it

to go into recovery mode as nothing is wrong with the OS (it functioned

fine with no issues) so how do I stop it going into recovery mode? is

there a file somewhere I can edit to say all is good? Cheers Dazzler
