Guest Numcruncher Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Hello. I am attempting to setup file sharing on the following 4 home computers: 1) Main (computer name)- Windows XP Home Edition. I have run the Network setup Wizard and have enabled file sharing on several drives and folders. Norton 360 is on this one. 2) Kim (computer name)- Windows XP HE. I have also run the wizard and enabled file sharing on several folders. Norton 360 is on this 3) Kids (computer name) - Windows XP HE. Run the wizard and enable sharing on several folders. Norton is not yet set up here. 4) Laptop (computer name) - Windows 2000. I have not yet attempted sharing yet. On the Main computer, I can see the shared folders set up on the Kids computer, but not on Kim. In the Network wizard I have used the same network group name in each. On the Kids Computer, I can see the Main drives and folders I shared. On Kim's Computer, I cannot see any shared folders. When I perform a Computer search from the Main computer for Kim, it comes up, but I'm denied access. I've checked the Windows Firewall and File Sharing is checked for the exceptions tab on Kim's computer. Why can't I see the shared folders I've set up? Thanks for your help. Bill Quote
